Oh and not mentioned in the amenities, but our room also had a microwave included.

  2. Used BB's PRICELINE link and booked this PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal for this past weekend's trip.

Typical motel, but great location, central to downtown, The Mission, Natural History Museum and UCSB.  Good Indian Restaurant (Flavors of India) and Italian Restaurant (Giovanni's) across the street.  Nice Thai (TAP Thai) restaurant a short walk away.  There's also a Coffee Bean across the street and Trader Joe's next to it.  Very convenient.

Motel had free continental breakfast with cereals, pastries, muffins, bagels/cream cheese, breads/butter, yogurt.  But also had biscuits and gravy, a make-your-own waffle station and scrambled eggs.  Also drinks...orange and apple juice, milk and coffee.  Other amenities include, free internet, free parking and a small outdoor pool, which we didn't use since it had too many leaves in it and didn't look that clean.

But overall we had a good stay and the staff was nice and helpful.

  3. Bid was actually for $105, but received a $3 hotel credit fee after winning the bid.  Total Priceline cost with taxes and fees $123.25.

There is an additional $26 hotel fee to be paid at the hotel.  Amenities include Free Internet (In Room), Pet Friendly, Outdoor Heated Pool, Spa, Non-Smoking, Gym, Handicap Accessible, Business Center.

Used BBB's Priceline link.  Looking forward to staying at this hotel for the first time.

  4. Started at $65 for 4* in this area.  Used lower re-bid zones, increasing by $1 increments and later added Coronado and Downtown Marina until was accepted at $80/night.  Total for 3 nights including $41.40 for taxes and fees is $281.40.

    Used BB's PRICELINE link.

  6. Since I got such a previously great Gaslamp/Conv. Center deal, thought I'd give it a shot and try to bid for a good deal during Comic-Con weekend. Started with 4* & 3-1/2* hotels in that area at $75, then increased in $5 increments, adding other areas with only lower star ratings.

Didn't even think I would get anything close to this price range, much less a 4* hotel at this rate, especially during Comic-Con, when all the downtown hotels are really pricey and usually fully booked. It's also lower than the 4* hotel Express Deal that Priceline is offering at $132/night, so I'm pleased with the deal.

Looking forward to that Sunday's Con and to checking out the Westin.

And learning the ropes here and used the BB PRICELINE link this time. :D

  7. Yay! Those updates will be great and very helpful.

Also, since this hotel is new to your database, I've stayed there before and it's located directly across Seaport Village, with great City or Bay Views, and close to the train station. The New Children's Museum, Gaslamp and Convention Center are within walking distance or a short, inexpensive trolley ride away. You can also walk to the USS Midway Museum. And like all Embassy Suites, all the rooms are 1-bedroom suites, so there's a ton of room. They also have daily complimentary full-breakfast buffets and afternoon cocktails, beverages and snacks, which is why I am so glad that this was the hotel I received. My family is definitely looking forward to the breakfast and the indoor pool. Only downside is there is no self-parking and they charge $35 daily for valet parking, but then again, all hotels in downtown SD charge for parking.

    Hope that helps.
