  1. I initially bid $85 for a 2.5* which was not accepted, and I received an offer to place an immediate bid at $102. Instead of bidding $102 for a 2.5*, I immediately rebid using $92 for a 2* (note: Comfort Inn at 2*, Best Western at 2.5* are the only options in Lone Pine; so I knew that I was ok either way.). The $92 bid was accepted. Glad to see Priceline and Hotwire have gotten the Lone Pine hotels into their networks.
  2. My bid at $33 was rejected, but I was offered an opportunity to rebid immediately. My second bid for $37 was accepted by National. Grand total for 1 week rental = $377.54. I'm happy with this deal, since the price seems fair. The car rental prices at Denver International seem particular bad this summer.
  3. You were right ... Best Western Plus CottonTree Inn was the 3.5* ... I posted the Win today, and I used the HOTWIRE links off the site also.
  4. Amenities: Airport Shuttle, Pool, Free Breakfast, Laundry $64 per night $45.34 tax and fees (4 nights) 301.34 total
  5. I tried bidding for a week or so in the $80 to $95 range with no luck. The following week, I noticed a 3* hotel appeared on Hotwire for $135 appeared for the 8/7 - 8/9 dates, so I went back down to $85 since my Hotwire observation gave a signal that one of the 3* hotels in Longmont was looking to fill some rooms in August.
  6. Purchased on 04/13/12 ... Amenties: Free Parking Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Suite Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access
  7. I'm interested in booking a hotel in Idaho Falls from 9/6 to 9/10/2012. Hotwire is showing a 3.5* at $68 for these dates with the following amenities: Complimentary Breakfast, Airport Shuttle, Pool, Laundry Facilities 85% recommend Any ideas what hotel this may be? I'm having trouble finding any site advertising a 3.5* hotel in Idaho Fall. Thanks.
  8. Purchase for July 1 for 1 night -- $78, 3-stars. Amenities: breakfast, fitness, pool, laundry, internet.
  9. $80/night accepted for 8/20/11 - 8/22/11. My bids of $60 and $70 were rejected yesterday. I got a rebid notice for $90, but I decided to wait until today to bid at $80.
  10. I used the PRICELINE link from the website, and I bid on a 4* hotel in the Westminster-Broomfield area of Denver. I tried $65, but $65 was not accepted. I got a counter offer to re-bid immediately at $80, but I waited 24 hours instead and rebid at $75 ... $75 was accepted. Omni Interlocken was the hotel that I was hoping that I would get ... should be a nice end to our Colorado vacation.
  11. Additional information for Econo Lodge in Ridgecrest on Hotwire, the amenities for the hotel were not listed on Hotwire ... i.e. no amenities listed (Note: the $59 listing shows up for this upcoming Friday 7/16).
  12. 2* in Ridgecrest won on HOTWIRE ... $59/night ... Econo Lodge ... 7/10-7/11. Actually, I was disappointed with HOTWIRE (again) since the Econo Lodge at this price was NOT a deal ... i.e. I could have paid the same total cost by reserving on the website and avoiding the Hotwire fee, and I may have paid less by reserving on the website and using my AAA card. The Econo Lodge in Ridgecrest and their b'fast were nice. I believe this hotel was re-modelled fairly recently, so I have no complaints with the hotel. I only have a complaint with HOTWIRE, since sometimes Hotwire is advertising prices which are not good deals.
