  1. Bidding History: 2.5, Raleigh (Airport) bid $30 - rejected Rebid $35 added zone-rejected Waited 72 hours and bid $40 2.5 star Raleigh (Airport) rejected Rebid $45 added zone- rejected Priceline offered a rebid for $12.00 increase- I accepted and received a room at the Residence Inn. They offer a shuttle to the airport and free parking while we are away. Linked through Savingsbarn.com
  2. I may be paying a little more than I should but we have been bidding for over a month and wanted to finalize our plans. 3* - $95 Fisherman's Wharf-rejected Added 4* USE - $95 rejected Added USW-$110 accepted I got a GREAT deal on airline tickets through Orbitz so I'm happy. A month ago they were $318 and rising. I signed up for "Deal Detector" and asked to be notified if they fell to $286. They notified me and we got the tickets for $236, round trip from NC. I had to buy 6 tickets so the savings were fantastic!
  3. I think the Sheraton is the only Priceline hotel in Atlantic Beach. We live near there and most of the hotels are small family owned places. There is also a Ramada, Best Western and the Royal Pavillion(very nice and very expensive)All are ocean side and are probably listed in Pine Knoll Shores. There is also an Ameri-Suites and Days Inn (sound Side). I don't know anything about the Ameri-Suites but I had some family stay at the Days Inn and they did not like it. Hope you have a good time. The weather is supposed to be nice next week.
  4. I guess I could split my bid. I've never bid that way, any advice? I'd like to keep my maximum bid around $100 if possible because we have to have 2 rooms. I can go higher if I have to, I just don't want to stay in a dump.
  5. I would like some help with a bidding strategy. We are planning to check in on July 01 and checking out on July 06. We need two rooms and would like to stay in the Fisherman's Wharf area. I bid $55 for 3 star and was rejected. I rebid at $60 and added zone where a 3 star wasn't available-rejected. I rebid at $65 with an added zone (4*) rejected and again at $70 (4*) rejected also. Any advice? Thanks
  6. We stayed at the Holiday Inn 02/21/05 and 02/22 for $45.00 per night. This is the cleanest place we've ever stayed in. It was immaculate. The rooms look like they have been recently redecorated.
