  2. Thanks for all your help on this! After much debate and consideration, I have now booked the Days Inn Hollywood on Sunset Blvd (through the Lastminute link on this site). As I said before, I'm new to this and hope what I have done is within the "guidelines" or "principles" of this forum?? All advice much appreciated anyway, thanks again!
  3. I've tried Hotwire and almost every other site I can think of! - with no success! Would there be some event on or is it always like this? Budget is approx, I would consider higher if I could find something. May have to consider another place to stopover, as this is basically what I am doing - looking for a typically Californian coastal location for a stopover on route from LA to Three Rivers in Sequoia.   8. Hi yellowdog, I went for Beverly Hills - West Hollywood because I thought it may be central, lively, but family friendly area where we could walk or local transport to sights, tourist attractions, restaurants, etc. Open to any advice though! Cheers!
