  1. Started out with a bid of $40 then added other areas and increased by $1 until I got to $46. This hotel is currently going for $152 on Priceline for the same night. Wow. I did use the PRICELINE link here before I bid.
  2. Great deal on the Holiday Inn at PRICELINE. I noticed there was a 3* PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $44 so I knew I could do better. We've stayed here several times and love the hotel. I started at $33 and increased by $1 while adding other areas.
  3. I started my bidding at $39 and got it for $45 (regularly $89 on Priceline for that weekend). Very satisfied. I used the PRICELINE link here to start my bidding.
  4. Here were the areas I added: Atascocita, Conroe, Cyfair, Energy coridor South, Houston NW, Humble, League City, Montgomery, Porter- accepted on 10th try.
  5. Just got the Hyatt North Houston for $41/night. Started at $35, kept adding areas and increased bid by $1 increments until it accepted $41. I used the PRICELINE link here to start my bidding.
  6. I usually get 3.5 stars near IAH for around $40. Add areas with no 3.5 stars like cypress, channelview, Pasadena, and Baytown. I start with IAH and add one area at a time until someone accepts my offer.
  7. My first bid was $43 and it was accepted (I should have started lower). This hotel regularly lists for $68 on Priceline so I did pretty well. We usually stay here so we know it is well worth the price. I used the PRICELINE link here to get to their website. Thanks, BetterBidding!!!
  8. I used the PRICELINE link here to get this fabulous hotel for $35/night. It was my first bid and now I wish I'd bid lower. We stayed here 2 weeks ago and it is a very nice hotel. We love it!! Woops- please edit title. It's the Hyatt North Houston.
  9. Fabulous!! We stayed there 2 weeks ago for $45 and it was awesome. I'm about to bid and hope I get it for as low as you did.
  10. Just got a 3.5* in Houston Intercontinental Airport area for $45/night on my first bid. I should have bid less, dang it!! : ) Hyatt North Houston
  11. Last minute plans, so I needed a room for tomorrow with no time for a bidding war. Was excited to get the 3.5* Houston Hilton North for $45/night on Priceline on my first try (regularly listed on Priceline for $99/night). Thanks for the help, as always, BetterBidding.com!!
  12. Just got the 3* Holiday Inn Houston Intercontinental Airport for $47 (regular price on Priceline is $71). My first bid for 3.5* and $45 was rejected. Added 3* and upped my bid to $47 and it was accepted. I used the PRICELINE link here to make my purchase. Thanks, BB!! Laura
  13. Regularly listed at $64 on Priceline, I got this hotel for $38 per night. I used the PRICELINE links here. Thanks, BB!! Laura
  14. I got the 3.5 star Houston Marriott North, near Bush Int. airport, for $42/night for this weekend. It was my first bid and accepted. I probably could have gotten it lower, but I didn't have any time to waste. I used the PRICELINE link from this site. Laura
  15. Thanks for the info. I was looking at that one, too, for the same week. amenities listed are: Smoke Free Rooms Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool Restaurant Business Center Laundry Facilities High Speed Internet Access
  16. 2.5* for $40/night. NO amenities are listed. Could this be the LaQuinta? I know LQ does HOTWIRE in other Houston areas and is $62 on other sites right now for 1/7-1/9. I need a shuttle and would like free breakfast so not sure I want to risk it since nothing is listed. Help!!
  17. Just got a priceline winning bid for the same price. Thanks for the info!! (did not have time to try any lower, wanted to get my plans in place) Laura
  18. Got this 2 star hotel for $35, which includes their continental breakfast, which is a good deal. We stay here often, but this is my first time to bid using PRICELINE (usually I get it on Hotwire in the $40's). HOTWIRE has this hotel for $44 right now (listed as 2.5 stars there). Regular LQ rate right now for this room: $65, AAA discount $61.75, so I've very happy. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $35.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: $70.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $19.40 (USD) Total Room Cost: $89.40 (USD)
  19. I was correct. I just booked and it is the LaQuinta. I just checked their website and the regular rate is $59 and I got it for $44 so I saved 25%. We've stayed there before and it's good for that price, especially with the continental breakfast included.
  20. I need help identifying a 2.5* hotel in Houston (Cy-Fair) for August 13-15, 2010 $44/night Amenities: Comp. b-fast, pool, laundry facilities, high speed internet access I wonder if it could be the LaQuinta? LQ usually runs $59/night so it would be in the ballpark. Holiday Inn is much more expensive, so I doubt it is HI.
  21. We booked this hotel through Hotwire for $84/night July 4-7, 2010 for a romantic getaway. We loved it!! It had free parking (many downtown hotels charge $20+ per night for parking). It also had a complementary breakfast bar. It included eggs, bacon or sausage, french toast, cinnamon rolls, muffins, cereal, yogurt, croissants, bread, several different juices, milk, and coffee. The pool was small, but it was nice. It also had a hot tub. There was a small workout room with a treadmill, elliptical machine, and stationary bike. The lobby had 2 computers available. The room had a comfy bed and a small refrigerator, microwave, and a coffee maker. At 4, they put out fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and juice. It is next to a freeway, but we did not hear any noise. It was within walking distance of the convention center, Toyota Center, and Minute Maid Park. We would definitely stay there again.
  22. I just booked the Holiday Inn Express Downtown Convention Center for 7/4-7/7/2010 for $84/night and used your HOTWIRE link. Amenities (already listed on betterbidding): Continental Breakfast Fitness Center Pool Business Center Laundry Facilities HOTWIRE saved me about $40 over other sites. Other sites had the first 2 days at $84 but the third day was $121 everywhere else. We're going to an Astros game and wanted to be close. The free parking and continental breakfast were big pluses for us, too. Thanks for your help, better bidding peeps!! : )
  23. I booked the Holiday Inn for $84- will start another thread...
