Actually the rack rate at the official site (Hotel Universal Barcelona) for the same day is 100.80 euro (108.87 euro with tax). That translates to approximately $148 usd per night. The saving is around 8usd per night. i think the best deals for barcelona (both priceline.com + hotwire.com) is mainly for the 5* hotels.

I am usually a fan of PRICELINE.com, and will usually prefer that to HOTWIRE.com, but given the way priceline wokrs i could land myself into Le Meridien Barcelona instead of the W barcelona. It has always been my dream to stay at this stunning/sleek property in Barcelona. This will be my first trip to spain and barcelona. Oh, and I used the forums link for HOTWIRE for buying my stay. BEWARE I got the Hotel Tempio Di Pallade for the same listed infos on 22-23 february 2011 (different date though)...same price and same emenities...they have very bad review on tripadvisor.com...so i am really hoping for a 'miracle".lol

Hi, 3.5* Hotel description: Restaurant Complimentary Breakfast 02/22 - 02/23/2011 $59 + tax $12.93 = $71.93 for $72 i cant really complaint for a night in rome, but tripadvisor gave a very low rating :) . Hotel seems to be far from the action (but close to a neighborhoud metro) Used your HOTWIRE link! jacky

To CHW: I got the Marriott courtyard BK (4* for Siam Square) for $50 (before tax) may 2011 (posted in betterbidding.com). I thought it was a pretty good deal and review from tripadvisor.com is great. A good alternative to Pullman Bk. i am quite certain that $50 is the "magic" number although nothing is certain.

Pullman Bangkok a good hotel in BK. but price in accor website shows $96 per nite for the same date INCLUSIVE of all TAXES. vs ($74+$15= $89 via priceline). I am a from indonesia and i booked through a local agent and got the pullman for $91 nett (+ breakfast for 2)- Yes it is of different date but my oberervation shows that pullman is usually available under $100. Neverthelss, its a good hotel and shows good reviews in tripadvisor.com

Booked as early as May 2010. I guess the Hilton Orchard rd is not available for weekdays booking.But inventory may be available as you get closer to the dates. Dates are immediately after Singapore F1 grand prix (24-26 september 2010) will use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE link in future bids Forgot to mention its 5* and $130 before tax

i think anything around $130 will land you marriot Orchard Road. I got it through priceline (27-29 september)- weekdays check in. The Hilton is available mostly on weekend at a lower rate of $80-95.

Hi: You can see my winning priceline bid where I got the renaissance times square for 2-4 september 2010. Bid up to $210 (for TS area). u can try between 205-209. but i think 210 is magic number. Hope it helps. good luck!!

Hi t13nif: I got the Renaissance Times Square for times square (9/2- 9/4/2010) for 210 usd before tax!! U can try bidding lower, but i guess 210 usd is the limit. Gd Luck!!
