  1. oh, thank you. it said the hotel only had a 65% approval rating. have you been hearing bad things about this westin hotel?
  2. thanks for your patience with me. i have gone back and clicked on the "see all" under amenities and it lists all of the amenities that i listed and then it has "spa services" added (which was not one of the icons). does this help?
  3. i am very confused. i responded to the hotwire/nyc thread explaining that i wound up not able to do an overnight so i did not need a hotel room in nyc in june. i am not sure what to do next to move forward. i tried clicking on the HOTWIRE link like you asked me to but it just brought me to the hotwire home page. not sure how to proceed.
  4. back in june, i did not wind up able to go on the overnight to nyc. i did not book any hotel. sorry i did not post that.
  5. hi there! trying to pinpoint hotel before booking. the rate shown on hotwire is $86/night - the dates are: check in thursday 2/17/11 - check out sunday 2/20/11 - 4* near strip east area - amenities listed are: casino, non smoking, gym, pool, restaurant, business center, high speed internet, golf. there is a 65% customer satisfaction listed which scares me. i would like to wind up with hard rock hotel, i heard they just did a nice renovation to the place. does anyone know which hotel this might be? thanks.
  6. thank you for the quick search tip, worked like a charm. i am loving this site. the amenities listed for the 4.5 star Gaslamp District for one night 7/26/10 were: boutique/non-smoking/gym/pool/restaurant/business/internet
  7. went with the $98 - gaslamp district - 4.5 star offer on hotwire. it turned out to be the andaz san diego. we are pleased. it is for a monday night, july 26th, one night, two adults. (staying with friends for the remainder of the trip) just out of curiosity, has anyone gotten this hotel for a better rate? just like to know if i was able to get one of their cheaper rates or do they offer the $98 during the week all the time. thanks for any responses. i am from new jersey and in all my 44 years, have never stepped foot in california. you can imagine how excited i am to see it. : ) the rooftop pool and cocktail lounge sound dreamy! good luck to all with your travel plans! ~ peace
  8. Hi there ! Going to San Diego to meet up with a friend. Would like to stay at the Indigo Hotel. Any strategy for zeroing in on that one on HOTWIRE by identifying their amenities? I do know it is 4* and in the Gaslamp District. Any help is appreciated. ~ peace
  9. hi thereuare~ the amenities listed are restaurant, fitness center, high speed internet, business center and spa. i always just put in the default, double occupancy (adults) when i do my searches. i was also wondering about another offer i saw for a MTC 3*. i usually want 4* and above, but this one has a "pool" icon and i know my boys would like a hotel with a pool so i would consider a 3* if it had one. do you know which nyc hotels have good pools? i've been to the one at le parker meridian and that's nice, but it's the only one i've seen, they are hard to come by in nyc hotels : ( i keep seeing what i believe to be the embassy suites hotel offered which is a good choice for us because of the full-on breakfast they include (which in my case would cost me about $30.00 if i were to bring the boys out for a breakfast that size), if we can't get a hotel with the pool. is it safe to assume that the downtown/soho 4* hotel shown with the icons: suite, breakfast, gym and all the other typical icons would DEFINITELY be the embassy suites every time? i am trying to become an expert at knowing exactly what i'm going to get by looking at the icons and the area the hotel is offered in. this website has been such a superb tool in achieving that!! thank you thereuare~ hope you're enjoying your weekend :) ~peace
  10. hi all~ would like to take my teenage boys into the city and stay at le parker meredian. they like the pool! will the le parker meredian have the "pool" icon listed on their amenities? i see a 4* midtown central hotel for june 30th to july 1st (one night only) for $139. which hotel do you think this might be? thanks for any help :)
  11. thank you for responding thereuare! yeah, i thought it was too good to be true also, but this was the second time it happened. the first time it happened, i called the 800 number and the operator told me i could indeed book the $33 4-star room in nyc with her over the phone. being a very skeptical person, i chose not to give my credit card number at that time. just not worth the risk. do you think it would have been safe to go ahead with it?
  12. hi all~ i was on HOTWIRE yesterday and on their homepage they showed a NYC 4-star hotel for $33! i tried to click on it several times but when i did, the offer was not listed on the next page they bring you to. i kept trying and trying, but i could not get to the place where you book it. has anyone else had this happen? this is the second time this has happened to me, the first time i just thought it was a glitch.
