  1. Friend is stuck in Denver due to the snow and got her the same hotel with the same $40 bid on the first try. Used your PRICELINE link.
  2. Started at $35 and 2 1/2 * in Denver (Northeast) where it seems like no one has ever won. Was rejected. Went to $40 and added Denver (Downtown) since was still hoping for something off I-76. Rejected again. Added Denver (Airport) and was going to go up to $45 but then browsed the forum and saw that people were winning in Denver (Stapleton) in the $40 range, so stayed at $40 and added Denver (Stapleton). Won the Best Western and was "upgraded" to a ***. This is for a friend who will be staying there tonight, so the pressure was definitely on.
  3. Initial bid was $42. Rejected. PRICELINE recommended going up by $9. Ha! Went to $45 and added Urbandale. Success!!! Used your PRICELINE link. Hotel is $58 with taxes. Doing this for a friend who is a Priceline newbie, so hope she is happy. It looks like this hotel hasn't been won in a while, so was surprised to get it.
  4. Sorry, this is a bit after the fact. Started my bidding at $51 (just to see what would happen), then went to $55 (hoping for the Burnsley) and then $57. Very happy to get the Marriott at that price. It was a nice property, centrally located.
  5. Loved the location of the hotel. It's not near the mobbed downtown area but only a 10 minute walk from everything. You can walk out the front door of the hotel and be in a leafy square in 3 minutes. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Great shady street. Decent room - "typical" Hiton. Good size, comfy bed, the same decor you seem to get at every Hilton. My view was of the city and not the Historic District and that was fine by me. Very nice public spaces though - lobby, banquet rooms, etc. Helpful staff. Took a cab, so don't know about parking.
  6. At first, I was trying to get a 3.5* hotel in Atlanta (Perimeter) using Priceline, but wasn't getting anything. Decided to check out Hotwire as part of my procrastination and avoidance of a new strategy and panic that I'm leaving on my trip tomorrow. Saw that there was a 3* available for $39, did my research and went for it. Amenities: Fitness Center, Pool and Restaurant. Very happy to have a hotel in Downtown for what I was bidding in Perimeter. Should make the trip go much smoother. Maybe I'll still go out to Perimeter to shop. Used your HOTWIRE link. Thank you!!! Hotwire hot Rate: :$39.00 Nights:3 Rooms: 1 Subtotal:$117.00 Tax recovery charges and fees:$23.62 Total price:$140.62
  7. Started bidding at $55 and was rejected. Went up by $5 and added Savannah - West Garden City and was accepted at $60. Figured I would get the Hyatt, so was pleasantly surprised by Hilton. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $60.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $60.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $15.99 (USD) Total Room Cost: $75.99 (USD) Used your PRICELINE link since this website always treats me right. Will be getting hotel in Atlanta in a few days when I'm more awake. Thank you again. :)
  8. Started at $35 and got ACCEPTED. Staybridge Suites Portland-Airport 11936 Ne Glenn Winding Road Portland, Oregon 97220 Subtotal: $35.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $11.70 Total Charges*: $46.70 My first Priceline success. Used the PRICELINE link. Excited for my free breakfast and dip in hotel pool. :) Great website - I use it often for Hotwire and to research for others. Plus I recommend it often (friend got Portland Downtown Hilton that same weekend thanks to your site). Thank you
  9. The hotel is listed as having Restaurant(s), Pool, Fitness Center and Business Center. There is a golf course nearby but that isn't listed as an amenity. I can't recall the exact pre-tax prices, but I believe they were in the range of $79 for a two person room and $100 for one four person room.
  10. Doubletree in Napa/Sonoma (Rohnert Park) Total - $87.95 (w/taxes) for a two person room. $114.95 (w/taxes) for a four person room. Next time, I would just get a two person room since there was no problem with getting a 2Q room for both wins. I won this hotel about a month back. I was very happy with the price since this was a one-night stay over a holiday weekend. A wonderful hotel.
