  1. Listed with Free Internet, Fitness Center, Restaurant, Bed Choice Available. It was almost certain going to be the Fairfax, as it said that the "last person to book paid 136.35", which is the regular price on Priceline. I used your PRICELINE link and Priceline Coupon code for an extra 5% off, which makes this a great deal indeed.
  2. One example is this one for July 1-5, Dupont Circle - Woodley Park 4*, Pets Allowed, Fitness Center, Restaurant, Non smoking, $72 On the checkout page you see: "Somebody just booked this hotel for $113.89", which is the same as the normal Priceline price for Kimpton Carlyle. There is no mention of a resort fee Edit: Downtown, 3.5*, $54, Free internet, Pets allowed, Business Center This is very likely Kimpton Rouge. For this one I do see "Additional Mandatory Fee:$105.56"
  3. This is a general question about Washington DC hotels. The best deals seem to be Kimpton hotels (with some help from your BiddingHelper.com). However, after some research I found that all Kimpton hotels charge $23 (excl tax) "resort fee" per day. Does anyone have any experience with that? I don't think PRICELINE and HOTWIRE include this fee. Thanks
  4. I used your BiddingHelper.com Coupon (for an additional 5% off) and PRICELINE link to find this deal. It was 99% certain it was going to the Embassy. It's listed for $92 on Priceline, so the save is not really 60%. Very happy with this place for Philadelphia (usually pretty expensive). Free breakfast Bed choice Business center Fitness center Non smoking
  5. Pets allowed Business Center Fitness Center Non Smoking Bed Choice This was a no-brainer that it was going to be the Hilton. It was $85 for a couple of weeks already, dropped now to $65. Using your PRICELINE link and code saved an extra 5% even. Thanks!
  6. I went up to $82 for 4* in downtown or French Quarter. I decided to go for 3.5* after seeing some deals on Hotwire and Priceline for around $77. I also hoped to avoid Hyatt by going a bit below that. I'm happy with Blake Hotel, looks like a good deal. I used your PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to start my research and bidding.
  7. Started with 4* at $80 for French Quarter, which was rejected. Added Downtown for the same price and got Renaissance.
  8. PRICELINE EXPRESS had a 4* for $88 and a 3* for $72. So I tried a bid for $80 for a 4*. My bid was accepted on the first try. Although you always think you started too high in such a case, I'm happy with this hotel. I used your PRICELINE link to start my bidding.
  9. Hotel was listed on PRICELINE EXPRESS as: Free Breakfast Free Internet in room Outdoor Swimming Pool After unsuccessful bidding for a reasonable price on 2* and 2.5*, I decided to go with the 1*. I already had a feeling it was going to be Howard Johnson or Americas Best Value Inn. HOJO has mixed reviews, but right now I'm happy with this rate. I used your PRICELINE link to start my search.
  10. Hotel was listed as 65% recommended Free Internet Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Business Center Internet access Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility I am very pleased with this rate for the TS area. Reviews on Tripadvisor are also quite positive. I used your HOTWIRE link to start my search.
  11. Since Lastminutetravel was mentioned here again: maybe it's a good idea to start a forum for LMT. Of course, only if the LMT website supports advertisement clicks. I like LMT because it's usually a giveaway" $90, 3* San Francisco Downtown/Union Square/Nob Hill, 18000 sq ft event space, pets allowed: that must be Holiday Inn Golden Gateway. Good deal for end of May actually. I've not seen anything come near that on HOTWIRE or Priceline (I always use your hotwire or PRICELINE link to start searching). It wouldn't be my first time to book through LMT.
  12. With tax $86.75, a total of $562.75. A very good deal I think. Total price on their website is $1,206! The amenities are listed as "Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Spa Services". Thanks Thereuare for pointing this one out in my previous post. Of course I used your HOTWIRE link to start the search. BTW: Hotwire price went down by $1 after my booking
  13. Listed for $68 for period 22/6 - 29/6. Amenities: Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Spa Services. It sounds to me like St. Anthony. Usually rated 3*, but Hotwire tends to add half a star. :) Of course I will use your HOTWIRE link if I'm going to book this hotel.
  14. I've been looking around for a Hollywood hotel for some time, but figured that really good deals for 3* are not available. So, I lowered to 2*, which would probably be the Travelodge Hollywood-Vermont/Sunset. I like that one anyway because it's around the corner of the metro. Hotwire currently has a 2* Hollywood hotel for $65, so I offered $55. I got a counter offer for $67, which I refused. Added Santa Monica and offered $60, which was accepted. $26.24 added fees and taxes. I used your PRICELINE link to start bidding.
  15. It's listed as: Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities (Self Service), High Speed Internet access
  16. I tried Priceline first but couldn't get this rate for LAX. Rate is already $1 up from a previous post, so be quick! Happy with Holiday Inn for it's 24 hour shuttle service (will be arriving around midnight). I used your priceline and HOTWIRE links.
  17. Offer Price: $58.00 Taxes & Fees: $15.34 Got this bidding as follows: 3.5* MIA, $55 3.5* MIA + Downtown, $58 3* MIA + Downtown, $58 The $58 for 3* was unintentionally. I just forgot to lower the bid. I saw Element on this forum for $55, but happy with $58 too.
  18. Bid first $40, next day $41 on Tampa Airport South-Westshore, Airport West and Downtown. Accepted by Double Tree Westshore.
  19. Yellowdog, The PRICELINE link doesn't seem to work for me. I always get a "G (GIF Image, 2x1 pixels)" web page.
  20. I started looking in the 2-3* range in the central areas of DC in the $60-70 range, but realized that there is no such thing. Investigating the areas that are good to stay in I got hooked on Dupont Circle/Woodley Park. Hotwire and lastminutetravel.com (don't forget this one when investigating) had 4* for $99-109 for this period, very often even cheaper than the 3*. Looking directly at Omni Shoreham website, for instance, they had a special for $120, so this was a good starting point. I started with 4* $75, then 3.5* $78 which were rejected. Next day 4* $81 which was rejected, but this time with the opportunity "If you want to rebid immediately for $15 more.." I rebid for $96 (which was what I was expecting to pay in the end anyway). It was accepted for Hotel Palomar. Looking at the reviews I am quite happy with this very centrally located hotel.
