  1. Las Vegas now has many new bidding zones which makes it easier to pinpoint the hotel you are going to get.

The Strip is now divided in 6 areas so that makes it very easy to avoid certain hotels.

I thought $125 was a fantastic deal since Friday night alone is advertised at $284.

5-Star PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal Hotel and Casino

    LV Strip Central West Area

When I clicked on the listing it said : Upscale, modern, young crowd   8+ out of 10

    Amenities:

    restaurants

    Indoor or Outdoor Pool

    Casino

    Fitness Center

    No Smoking Rooms/Facilities

  2. The date is 9/9 - 9/10/ 2013

It was not the average advertised price for random hotels.

Hotwire stated that price for this particular hotel. Under the 4 stars for this listing it said with black crossed over letters $338

and then the hotwire price in bold red letters of $127. When I clicked on the listing to book the hotel it said

Standard price $338, You save $239. So, I booked the hotel and after I got the name, I looked it up at other sites and it was listed for $127 everywhere

I looked, which is nowhere near $338....

  3. I kept trying to bid up to $210 on Price line for over a week now on both 3* and 4* and could not get anything for saturday night...

I previously purchased a hotel on Hotwire and got the Ameron Hotel Flora for Sunday but it did not let me add any additional nights...

Today a 3* showed up on Hotwire for $178 and I decided to take it even if it did not show a single amenitie. I also had a $8 credit....

This hotel will be great for me with a excellent location so I am very happy with it.

  4. I tried to get a credit back to my card since the room rate was less on another site but he said that I could only

receive a credit for future use valid for 1 year. I don't think this hotel is on Price lines "name your own price" because I

did bid up to $200 on a 4* with no luck.

Priceline only had one express deal (without giving the name) for $236 so they were very high for this date....

I assumed I would get Ameron Flora because it said "Accessible path of travel" and I had seen that description on one of the

sites when I did research the hotels...

    Amenities =

    Free Breakfast

    Free Internet

    Pet friendly

    Restaurant(s)

    Business Center

    Laundry Facilities (self-service)

    High-Speed Internet Access

    Accessible path of travel

  5. I tried to bid on 4* on Priceline up to $200 without getting anything...

Then I looked on Hotwire and saw a 4* for $173, it said 100% recommended with breakfast and internet included.

I booked it and it was Ameron Hotel Flora.

However, when I google the hotel, I did find it for less on Agoda.com, it was $165 there....

I called hotwire and they said they would give me a credit of $8 to be used on Hotwire only. I don't think I will

use them again, since I do prefer price line so that credit may never be used.

However, this hotel seems to be great with a perfect location!

  6. First I bid 5* in the central zone only using your Price line link.

I bid $85 yesterday and got declined. Raised my bid today to $90 and got a counter offer for $109.

I declined and tried one more time adding a new zone called east (they now have 3 zones for Zurich)

Then I won the Renaissance Zurich Tower Hotel.

It also looks like you now can bid on Lucerne. I did not see that on your list but I might give it a try....

  7. I tried bidding at collins oceanfront and ocean drive with no luck for up to $225 for several days.

I changed area to south beach central and started lower, adding up to $210 and got The Dreams. It seems nice!

Thurs night I am arriving just before midnight so I figure I will just stay by the airport and I had a hard time bidding there as well.

Finally got the Crown Plaza for $110 when I lowered the rating to *3.5

  8. I was bidding for several days up to $145. Finally I got a counter offer for $167 that I did not accept.

I waited one more day and bid $150. Got the Westin Palace. That is the hotel I wanted so I am happy.

Every day I tried to bid on Priceline I saw that Hotwire did have a 5* hotel for $142 in Old Madrid. However, I knew that that was not the Westin since it had the pool icon.

I assumed it was Hotel Melia Princesa and I did not want to stay there. I knew that I would probably get the Westin or the NH Palacio De Tepa with Priceline so that was why I countinued to bid even if Hotwire was less...
