  1. I was planning to bid on PRICELINE and found this deal which guaranteed room for our large family. Headed to Williamsburg and stopping over in Harrisburg on the way for the night. Booked using the HOTWIRE links on betterbidding.com
  2. New hotel for the list! Parking Internet Breakfast Pool In Room Accessibility
  3. I just booked 17 rooms at this previously unknown hotel. I am thrilled with this price, the price on the Westin website is $289! I had trouble booking in large blocks and started out with one room to confirm the hotel identity. Had to book as follows: 1, 5, 3, 6, 2 Rooms. Each time after the first booking, I was able to search for 6 rooms, but was only able to book it on the 3rd attempt. I was really delighted so many rooms were blocked off as available to Hotwire customers. Listed amenities: Resort Free Internet 1 Bedroom Suite Smoke Free Rooms Air-Conditioning Washer and Dryer in Room Children's Activity Program Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center 24-hour Front Desk High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Kitchenette
  4. We regularly put SIX in priceline rooms. We walk in to the property in two groups on our arrival, but after check in, we always walk in and out together since large groups regularly have multiple or adjoining rooms. There are rare times when it is an issue due to room size, but I usually use the hotel lists here to see what I might expect for hotels.
  5. Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Kitchenette Booked using HOTWIRE links...had no luck with anything near this price on Priceline. I went as high as $75 for a 3* on Priceline, but decided to go with Hotwire for the guaranteed free breakfast.
  6. I did not care which 3.5 star area I stayed in, and there were three free rebids available with Newark and West Orange, so I started at $45. I added Newark for my $50 bid, added only West Orange for my $55 bid and was offered a free rebid if I was willing to go to $70, so I knew I was close. I had one last bid available, so I did $60 and it was accepted. Another fine bidding experience using the PRICELINE links.
  7. Started bidding from $40 and added zones in $5 increments. I saw 3.5 stars on Hotwire for $69, so I expected to go to $60 before considering just buying on Hotw.ire, but my $50 PRICELINE bid was accepted. So, three bids made, last one accepted-$50 a night for 4* hotel. Happy as always. <3 PRICELINE (and I use your links)
  8. Amenities Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access
  9. Amenities: Airport Shuttle Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Restaurant(s) High-Speed Internet Access
  10. I checked in a few hours ago and this hotel is in upgrade mode. I am in one of the remodeled rooms, which is very nice. Everything is new and it still smells of fresh paint in the hallways. I am very pleased with this deal. The only thing "wrong" with my room is that the remodel includes changing from manual heat controls to a thermostat and my room has not upgraded yet, but there is a thermostat on the wall so that I know what the temperature is. I wish they could all be this nice :)
  11. I found a 3* on Hotwire for $54 that appeared to be the Holiday Inn based on the amenities listed on the Hotwire Hotel List on this forum. I decided to try a $40 starting bid and work up from there, and the $40 bid was accepted. Lowest available price on Holiday Inn's website was a prepaid rate of $82, so this deal was better than 50% off. The Priceline Ninja Strikes again. Room was booked using the board's PRICELINE links.
  12. This is not a confirmed hotel yet on the list of hotels, so it will need to be added. I just booked for tonight at $59 with the following amenities: This hotel features the following amenities: Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access I booked the room using the site HOTWIRE links :)
  13. A new hotel to add to the list. I tried my usual Priceline tricks, but to no avail. I would not bid more than $54 on Priceline since with tax and fees, that was the same final cost as this room on Hotwire. Bids were placed using links and purchase on Hotwire was made using the links. Amenities: Airport Shuttle, Smoke Free Rooms, Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities, High-speed Internet Access I have stayed and paid retail at this hotel in the past. It is a solid 2.5 star hotel, but not really a 3 star. The price was excellent thought. Direct booking on lq.com would have been $99.00 with an available AAA discount of 10% to make it $89.10. I saved $32 over that best available price! This is the first time I have uncovered a new HOTWIRE property :) Happy Hotelling...
  14. There are no free 3* rebid zones in Metro-West, and there is a 3.5* in the Burlington Zone, so I started out with bidding on the 3.5*, which does have one free rebid zone. Bids: $42 3.5* Burlington failed $48 3.5* added Lexington (free rebid) failed Changed to 3* $48 Lexington failed $55 added Burlington accepted. I have stayed int he 3.5* Marriott and it is nice, but I was hoping for the 3* Aloft or Element in Lexington, which is why I started my 3* bids with Lexington only. Best available refundable rate for Staybridge is $139.99, or a non refundable pre-purchase option at $84.95 (35% off with my bid). Either way, I saved big...the Priceline Ninja has struck again :) All bids are made using the PRICELINE link :)
  15. Sorry to have left out the amenities. I am so used to using the Priceline side of the forum, I am a n00b on the Hotwire side. Amenities: Fitness Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access These are the exact amenities as found on the hotel list for the neighborhood for 3.5*
  16. As expected, the 3.5* was the Club Quarters Downtown. I tried to find out info on the hotel prior to booking, but on the Club Quarters Site, there is no Downtown location. The hotel info is as follows: Club Quarters, Downtown 52 William Street, New York City, NY, 10005 (212) 269-6400 I booked for a friend using the HOTWIRE link.
  17. Hotwire was offering a 3.5 star for $48, so I started my Priceline bidding at $30. Columbus has six zones with no 3.5 star, so there are a ton of bidding options: $30-declined-offered a $40 free rebid, so I decided to go in $1 increments...I was already close :) $31-declined $32-declined-offered a $42 free rebid $33-declined $34-declined-offered a $44 free rebid $35-ACCEPTED All bids were placed using the better bidding PRICELINE links.
  18. I was shocked to get an accepted offer this low. This was my first offer made for a 3* in the Suburbs and it was the hotel I was hoping for because they offer free breakfast. I had a previous booking issue with PRICELINE, so I had a $10 coupon good for up to 5 nights, so my actual bid was $25 and they bumped it up to $35. The lowest available rate on the Hyatt website is $101, and what appears to be the same hotel on HOTWIRE is listed at $44. The information from this site to hep identify HOTWIRE properties form the amenities always helps me to choose what to bid when I book on PRICELINE. I love to save on my hotel stays and BetterBidding is how I do it so well.
  19. I started with a low bid of $35 and ended up at $40 on my 4th bid. Minneapolis has so many options, that it is easy to make use of rebids-there are ten zones with no 3.5 or 4 star properties. Booked with this site's PRICELINE link, and I am very happy with the rate. Next stop-Chicago...let's hope I can do nearly this good there. :)
  20. I have been coming here for years to use the hotel lists and to click on your PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to support the boards. I was hoping for the Residence Inn or Hyatt Place for the free breakfast, but Courtyards have always been a favorite as well, so I am pleased with my $46 per night deal. We are leaving Vermont at 8pm on 6/11 and MSP is a 24 hour drive, so we shoudl be ready to go straight to bed by the time we pull in for some zzz's. A day in town before we head north for camp gives us time to shop the Mall of America on our wedding anniversary. Just what the doctor ordered before spending a week at a Family camp in Bemidji. Thanks for maintaining a great site. I will be sure to contribute more winning bids in the future, as I always use advance permutations to attempt to get the lowest possible rate. My initial $40 offer was met with the famous "increase your bid by $10 and you can try again now" reply, so I knew I was really close and went up from there in $1 increments. Thanks again!
