  1. ^ what I mean is.....the topic of this title looks like the OP actually won the Renaissance for $75 on 11/4 but it was a failed bid but now the OP got the Renaissance for that date for $125, so if they don't make a new topic for that win, then change the title of this one to include $125 in it
  2. thereuare can you change the title of this topic, it might confuse people...thanks
  3. ^ $66, $69, $72, $75 seems like if you only do half of their counteroffer you can win the bid IMO
  4. Bid $66 for the Universal - Sea World Zone 4* and was offered a free rebid if I increased by $17. Bid up to $75 and was accepted! After tax, ~$92. I've stayed here once before thru a non-priceline website, and loved this hotel! :) :) :o (The going rate from the Peabody's website is $175.)
  5. Tampa has been pretty expensive lately.....just the time of the year I guess, especially expensive for 4* but you have a lot of time to rebid so don't worry :)
  6. intersting, I've heard of a lot about bill me later services for other things I don't need it personally
  7. For Florida: St. Pete Beach and Treasure Island zones have been combined into one zone.....sorry if this has already been reported I meant to report it a few days ago.
  8. I've stayed at the Wyndham Palace in WDW and that was god awful............um this wasn't bad, it wasn't amazing either. It's a 3*/Resort, however you want to call it........only complaint was A/C leaked and had to move to a new room.......encountered the same exact problem at the Palace too (must be a Wyndham thing!) large property with lots of buildings and rooms, different pools, jacuzzi, nice landscaping, safe area.......it's problem is the same as the Palace's.....it's a nice hotel but the property is so taxed over the years by the huge influx of tourists to the Orlando area that it tends to be rundown with that regard it's on the lower end of 3*/Resort no resort fee, and they gave me the option of whether I wanted to put a credit card down for incidentals (that was kinda cool to have a choice) I got it for $44 thru Name your own price so I was happy, definitely better than the Palace
  9. bid $40 for 3* in Universal zone saw an "increase your bid by $12" I decided to rebid at $44 and was accepted! Wyndham Orlando International Drive 3-star Universal Studios - Sea World 8001 International Drive Orlando, Florida 32819 407-351-2420 Your Offer Price: $44.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $44.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $12.76 Total Charges: $56.76 Looks like a nice hotel! I've stayed at the Wyndham Palace and was very disappointed, so I'm quite happy I'm staying at this Wyndham instead this time around. Anybody know whether there is or isn't a resort fee? (website says yes, recent reviews say no)
  10. This looks like a match for the Gaylord, the Celebration doesn't come up as a resort.....but it's NOT a perfect match amenities-wise so it could be something else, no guarantees.
  11. actually, what I mean is they don't always list all the amenities they should..........it can't be a resort and not have a pool
  12. Yes, I am aware of the Universal Zone Wyndham Resort on Internation drive which is rated 3* by priceline. Priceline sometimes downgrades hotels when they get negative reviews. The Renaissance in Universal Zone is a good example, it was a resort level and then it was downgraded to a 4* and then it was upgraded again to a resort again. But hopefully they'll keep this downgrade on the Wyndham in place....I gave a review of it here in the Hotels Reviews Section and it's a resort in the sense that the amenities are there, but the service isn't. Which makes the amenities useless, what they should do is revamp the whole property........ that's the way a lot of these disney hotels are....they're very taxed properties by all the tourists I'll give you an example...the La Quinta is usually a 2* hotel and when I stayed at one in Disney area it was in horrible shape....but when I stayed at a La Quinta in a non-tourist town the La Quinta was amazingly clean and well-maintained because hardly anybody ever stays there
  13. The Wyndham Palace Resort & Spa which was rated Resort in the WDW zone, has been downgraded to 3*. Might want to change it in the lists. This is great because it's the rating it deserves! (I got this from a reliable friend who won the hotel as a 3* recently)
  14. Solid 2*, off of I-4....free breakfast.....big room....nice and clean....pool....that's about it....you get what you pay for.
  15. Wyndham Orlando Resort is practically at the intersection of Internation Drive and Sand Lake Road, so that's what he means and it's in the Universal Zone and has come up as 3*.
  16. your credit card statement is proof of purchase it's like any credit card purchase..........if priceline says they have no proof of purchase and you send them the proof from your credit card statement and they don't make restitution.....you simply dispute the charge with your credit card company............and you'll win because your credit card company has proof you paid for it and priceline isn't honoring their terms of the contract
  17. I can't be positive, but I'm guessing yes. Your credit card rental coverage should cover you according to your CC rental policy, meaning you follow the rules of the policy when using that respective credit card.........but I'll let the experts weigh in with what they know
  18. Yes, you made your reservation thru a 3rd party, not Wyndham directly therefore you can't earn any reward points or garner any membership perks same with Hilton, Hyatt, and every other hotel chain............whenever you book other than calling the hotel directly, going thru the hotel website, or going thru the hotel chain's website/phone usually they let you gain points for purchasing onther things during your stay, i.e. movies, restaurants, hotel services, etc. I believe in the very early days of priceline, people got around this because priceline and other online hotel systems were pretty new, but now the hotel lists this policy on their websites and when I tried to get points for a Hyatt stay thru priceline with their Gold Passport program I was actually mailed a letter explaining why I couldn't get points for my stay ---- nice PRICE!!! Wyndham is a mixed bag for sure....check out the reviews we have of it here Review of Wyndham Palace Resort and Spa
  19. 8/20/05----8/21/05 (1 night, Saturday night) Bid $40 for 2.5* in Lakeland Zone and was rejected bid $45 and added 2* and was rejected bid $50 and added 1* and was accepted! No 1* was available, so was upgraded to 2*......(I had a feeling this might happen, because like I said in my previous Lakeland priceline win, that Lakeland is a strange animal on priceline) La Quinta Inn & Suites.........after tax ~$64 new hotel for the lists!! I love BetterBidding :) :) :o
  20. Nice free breakfast and good, quiet location....suite has small fridge, microwave, dishes, silverware, and sink, pull-out couch, lot of room in the room, very good value for the price paid.
  21. if you're driving, get onto interstate I-95 and take it south into Miami one way rental car ~70 mile trip :)
  22. that's a good price for a 3* (don't know why hotwire calls it a 3.5*, it's not IMO) to give you some perspective, people have gotten this hotel thru priceline and other 3* hotels in the Orlando Airport area for less than $50 but this is nice to see Hotwire giving a fair deal for a change......the lowest available rate for that Hyatt from hyatt.com on that night is $159 you saved about ~$100 per room after tax nice job good post too :)
