  1. I closed out the Atlantic City thread. I am not specifically looking for any particular property, just wondering what hotels might be in those areas. Thanks.
  2. I ended up booking directly with Harrah's as they offered an $82 rate that included a number of add-ons.
  3. Was looking for a hotel in Buffalo for 4/5-4/6 and am now seeing two areas that do not appear in the Hotwire pinned hotel list -- "Grand Island area" and "Hamburg - West Seneca - Lackawanna area". Does anyone know anything about these or what hotels might be contained in them? Thanks.
  4. Just so you know, many of the areas you've indicated (University, Downtown and City Line) are not free re-bid zones for 3*. You could have very easily ended up in a 3* room in any of those places (unless that is what you were going for).
  5. Were you able to update the list? When I clicked over, the property is still showing as 3*. Thanks.
  6. Started at $52 going up by $2 increments. (With 3.5* at the airport I had 16 re-bid opportunities, and if I didn't get anything by $78, I was just going to buy at Hotwire.) At $56, was asked to bid an extra $15 to $71. I declined and continued to bid by $2 increments until hitting at $66. Was surprised to get this hotel, because it wasn't listed as a 3.5* property on the board, it was listed as 3*. However, Hotwire has this property as 3.5* -- and in fact this was the hotel I was prepared to buy from Hotwire at $78 -- so I'm not disappointed. Suites look quite nice and it has a shuttle which is all I really need. Perhaps someone can update the main list to reflect that this hotel is now listed at 3.5*.
  7. I have found the following 4* Atlantic City hotel for 5/22-5/23 at $61. Amenities: Pool, Restaurant Recommended in 75% of Hotwire reviews. This doesn't seem to match any of the ones on here - wondering if I can get any help with an ID. Thanks!
  8. This was just the hotel I was looking for, so it turned out perfectly! Used your PRICELINE link... started at $45, used rebid zones to go to $50, $55 then $60 where it was accepted. Never even saw a counter-offer. Total of $215 including taxes and fees for three nights -- compare vs. my backup price of $385 through the hotel's website (and that was a rate that even included one night free)! Thanks for your help.
  9. From looking at previous wins, I ended up going with Priceline. I'll post my result in a thread over there. Thanks for your help!
  10. Oh, of course -- sorry for not including that! Dates are April 2 through April 5. And I will definitely use the board's PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links if/when I book.
  11. Hi there, I'm new here and I have to say this site is one of the most amazing compilations of knowledge I've ever found on the Internet! Thanks to you all for being such a great resource. I'm wondering if someone might be able to help me identify this hotel from Hotwire: Pittsburgh (Downtown) 4* -- amenities: Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center, High-Speed Internet, Spa, 90% recommended. From reading the board I've gotten the impression it's not the Westin, because that doesn't have a spa. So that makes it the Omni or the Renaissance, right? Is there a way to tell which it is? Also, the price on it right now is $79. What are the odds I can do better than that on Priceline? Thanks!
