This is the Manchester Grand Hyatt, which I just booked on Hotwire for $93/night.

Up to $110 w/PRICELINE and getting rejected. Hot.wire now has a 4* for $116: Pet friendly, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services, Accessible for the blind Because it includes tennis, do you think it's the Hilton?

I will likely start by bidding on priceline, and use hotwire as a last resort. I'd like a 4*, maximum bid of $115, in Gaslamp Quarter, Gaslamp Quarter South, or Hillcrest.

Since we have a car, travelling to the various sites isn't a problem. Ideally, I'd like a hotel that's walking distance to some fun stuff, so it sounds like the park or downtown might be the best. I don't care much about the occupancy because my kiddos are little and will probably end up in my bed anyway. I did see a 4* hotel on Hotwire in the Gaslamp Quarter - Convention Center area for $114, which seems like a pretty good deal. Any idea what hotel that is? And does that mean I can take my chances on priceline for less? Thanks for your help!

We're flying to San Diego and getting a rental car. Would like to go to the zoo, Seaworld, and Legoland.

We ended up getting the Magnolia for &125.

We'll be in SD from August 28 to September 2. What areas are the most family-friendly? And is it possible to get a 4* for under $125?

Well, it's not necessary that we take our dog, it would just be nice if we could. I'm not having much luck bidding on Victoria for that weekend. Do hotel prices in Canada go up for American holidays? I've been rejected for the 4* at $105 and the 3* at $70.

I'm a little bit confused about the possible 3* hotels in Victoria, BC. Four Points Sheraton Victoria Gateway is listed as a possible 3* hotel on the list and people have posted that they won this hotel, however, if you look at the map for Area 2 - Victoria, this hotel is outside the highlighted area. Am I going crazy? (I don't want to get this hotel because they don't allow pets, so if it's not included, I'll bid on a 3*, as my bids for 4* are not being accepted.)
