Doing a quick overnight in Vancouver after a funeral with the family but wanted to be sure of a nice place Did researach here re: possibilities from both HOTWIRE and PRICELINE Bid $65 for 4* Downtown - hoping for the Westin Bayshores that I have seen for $69-$75 was brought back with the option of adding $20 to $85. Waffled for a bit but knew (from what I'd read here) I would get it for sure so opted for the sure thing. Got Westin Bayshores for $85 Fri Jan 7. Not the smoothest dealing :) - but a great property for a great price. THX Betterbidding!

Won this 2.5* Hotwire bid for a stay April 13-18. It was a Disneyland - South 2.5 star. The price was $39 - which seemed pretty good. I knew before arrival from online pics that it was tired, dated and the pool was tiny and under cover - like in an underground parking area. I was cool with that - I thought it will be a clean place to lay our heads at night after a busy day at Disneyland. DO NOT EVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL! It was in fact located close to Disney. OK It had free wireless - OK It had free parking - OK It had a continental carb loaded bfast - OK (if you don't mind the disregard of basic FOODSAFE principals) But it was FILTHY. Dirty, Dirty, dirty, Disgusting sticky residue dripping down walls, on every surface, the bathrooms were terrible. The one elevator should have been a huge red flag for me - but I tried to be brave for my family. We requested a room move right away - the new room was better - on 3rd floor with more daylight and less filth. But still, honestly, it should be shut down.

I got pretty much the same price for my priceline win - same night. $61

I have emailed the hotel to check - I will also pursue by calling HOTWIRE. I'll keep you posted.

Only caveat - I don't think there is actually a breakfast included as per the HOTWIRE listing. Any ideas what I could do about that if true??

Not yet - although I just used your PRICELINE link to bid on the 3.5* North Coastal at $65 Apr 21-23. No dice Then I went 3 star North Coastal for $45. Nope. I have seen in your confrimed bids a 3.5* North Coastal - Sheraton for $80. I am dancing around that :) Off to check HOTWIRE....

Butting in... How can you tell that the Sheraton is $129 on HOTWIRE?? Does it show as 3 or 4 star? I'd love to find it in my april 21- 23 search...
