  1. Looking at the HOTWIRE hotel list is did not list the Hyatt as "pet friendly" in the amenities. But, we booked this anyway and it was the San Diego Marriott Marquis and Marina.
  2. Hello, Been a while since I've been on here but am looking for a confirmation. Trying to book hotel in San Diego, June 8th through June 11th. A 4* hotel in the Marina-Downtown region comes up with the following for $130 a night 100% satisfied Fitness Pool(s) Restaurant Business Center High Speed Internet Accessible for Blind Accessible for Deaf Accessible Path Accessible In-room Accessible Bath Handicap Parking Roll-In shower 4.0 trip advisor rating Given it does not show "pet friendly" I'm guessing this to be the Marriott Marquis and not the Hyatt. Are there any other options this could be? I don't see the region listed on the website. The Omni is a 4.5 on trip advisor so that rules that one out. Any help is appreciated. Brian
  3. Just following up we elected to book directly with the Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch for this stay. I would highly recommend the Ranch.
  4. Looking at staying 12/17 to 12/18, cost is $93. Amenties are: Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness, Restrauant, Business Center, High Speed Internet Has a 90% recommended rating. We are looking to find a hotel with a pool downtown so I'm wondering if it's possible this is the Intercontinental, but the IC does have a pool. Is it possible they just leave it off? $93 seems like a great deal for that hotel if it is the IC. Any help is appreciated.
  5. I was wondering if you know how Priceline works in this scenario. The Westin La Cantera is a 4* in the SA-NW area I believe. There is one other hotel that is a 4* in that area, an Omni. The rate on the Omni is $84 on the Priceline website using the link on this page. If I start my bidding on Priceline for the 4* higher than the $84 does that ensure me that i am bidding on the Westin or possibly some other 4* in the SA-NW region? They can't charge me more than the $84 for the Omni correct if i start my bidding at $95 say?
  6. I am looking at San Antonio from 9/2/2010 to 9/6/2010. There is a 4* hotel in the Six Flags area for $119 a night. Amenities are: Resort Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services Is this a lock to be the Westin La Cantera? Going rate at this hotel on the Starwood Website is $329, this would be quite a deal for this property. Any thoughts or other possibilities you can offer would be appreciated. Let me also add if anyone has any other hotel recommendations using HOTWIRE or PRICELINE for this stay please let me know.
  7. Accepted Bid = $45.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $45.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $13.22 (USD) Total Room Cost: $58.22 (USD) Thought we'd try it this way instead of HOTWIRE since it was only for 1 night and we get in late. Looks like a nice stay for a night.
  8. Just letting you know I abandoned this and got a hotel through PRICELINE. Placing a separate posting. Thanks
  9. Hey, Been a long time. I see someone else asking about a 3.5* in Orlando but I think that's a different hotel. Wondering if someone can help me with this one. Check in 7/23/10 - Check out 7/24/10 3.5* Orlando Int'l Airport Amenities = Smoke Free Room, Shuttle, Fitness, Pools, Restraunt, Business, High Speed Internet Has a Tripadvisor rating of 3.5 out of 5. Currently $46 plus for the night. I do not see any matches in the list, and want to make sure it is not the Florida Hotel by the mall. I'm guessing a Marriott, maybe a Sheraton given the smoke free but not sure. Any help would be appreciated.
  10. Don't know if this interests you, but here is the Mirage for $105 your first 2 nights and $135 your last. https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookinge...omo&code=CGTBRE
  11. At the time of booking neither was a customer favorite other you are correct with the amenties you listed.
  12. 4* John Wayne Costa Mesa 12/23-12/26 - $68 Restaurant, Fitness, laundry, pool, business, tennis Received The Westin South Coast Plaza Was not a customer favorite.
  13. Well, you run a risk with Hotwire and it got us. 4* John Wayne Costa Mesa 12/23-12/26 - $69 Restaurant, Fitness, laundry, pool, business, tennis Received the Hyatt Irvine Went immediately back to purchase again for the in-laws on their account, had to purchase twice in order to turn in 2 seperate rebate forms, and same description 4* John Wayne Costa Mesa 12/23-12/26 - $68 Restaurant, Fitness, laundry, pool, business, tennis Received The Westin South Coast Plaza Imagine my surprise. They are only a few miles apart though so it will be ok. Either way according to the trip advisor reviews it appears we did pretty well. Thanks guys.
  14. I'm sure the other guys here will be able to give you more insight into this, but I have never had problem getting the room choice we need. Just call ahead and check in early. The one time I checked in late at night, we did get a less than desirable room.
  15. there are 7 of us, no kids, will be going Disney 1 day, christmas day. the whatever day will probably going to see Hollywood, etc, just being a tourist. We will be booking 3 rooms at whichever hotel we pick. Family holiday vacation with the in-laws instead of buying gifts for each other. Need to be sure I have a nice place to retreat to. :)
  16. yeah we went to $125, kept getting counter offers at $159. We can rebid tomorrow night (Weds).
  17. This is our new plan. We were going to spend 1 night in San Diego but now we think we will spend 3 nights in Anaheim and just drive down there one day weather permitting. So one day will be whatever, one day will be the San Diego Zoo, and one day will be Disney. So for a 3 night stay 12/23-12/26 which does that change your opinion at all?
  18. you guys are going to hate me. I see a 4* for $68 in the Costa Mesa/Airport region for $68, should be the Hyatt. Which hotel do you guys recommend from all your postings.
  19. Well, for now $71 I don't think there are many better options given the price so we would be ok with it.
  20. Thereuare, given my posts in various places you have probably figured out the little trip we have planned. Hotwire has a 3.5* hotel in Disneyland South for $69 per night. Would appear to be to be the Hyatt given your hotel list, but have a hunch it will be the Crowne Plaza. Customer Favorite, Restaurant, Fitness, laundry, pool, business Which do you guys think?
  21. First attempt was rejected but we will continue trying. I see Venetians prices have come down a little to $169 per night. Currently we have a cancellable backup at the Mirage, $85 a night, hard to beat that. Hope it's nice.
  22. Looking to stay in San Diego for the one night. Hotwire rates appear to put us around $90-100 for decent hotel (4* in downtown (Wyndham), 3.5* resort in Inland SD (maybe Rancho Bernado Inn somewhere outside of the city). It looks like you can't go wrong with a 4* hotel in San Diego given the options available, for $90-$100 a night do you think we could get a better hotel bidding on the 4*'s in San Diego or should we just take one of the Hotwire hotels? Thanks Looked 2 days ago and rates were about $15 less than today on Hotwire, do you think they will drop again or is it time to book.
  23. In regards to budget, lets go with $125. I think we would like to stay at a 5* so if it's worth it we could spend more still, but with so many hotels that look nice in the $100-120 price range on their own websites, we just want to stay somewhere good for the $. Not planning on staying at the hotel that much and since it'll be a little chilly for water activities why spend all the cash.
  24. Hello, Heading to Vegas Dec 26th through the 28th. Want to stay at a 4* or 5* place, will definately bid for the Venetian/Bellagio first via Priceline, but wanted to see what you guys think a starting bid should be. It appears that it is on Hotwire for $175, and the actual room rates are $179 on their website. We are a little far out I think but time to start trying. Also, having never been to Vegas and location on the strip doesnt matter to me, would you guys recommend NYNY, Luxor, MGM, or something else as a good backup...for the money. Luxor is $99 or something on their website, seems like a nice place. Who needs a travel agent when we have you guys. Thanks in advance for your help.
