  1. Please add this new PRICELINE EXPRESS venue to the London (East London - Islington - Hoxton and Shoreditch) area Amenities: Free Internet Swimming Pool Fitness Center Restaurant Guest Rating 9+ Bed choices: KING BED - NONSMOKING DELUXE ROOM TWIN BED - NONSMOKING DELUXE ROOM NONSMOKING CLUB ROOM NONSMOKING SUITE Even though it wasn't listed in the hotel lists at the time, I was targeting this hotel as its the only 5* with swimming pool in Shoreditch. Thought I'd include the bed choices as that might be another way to identify express deal hotels.
  2. Saw this hotel first as a confirmed name listing on Hotwire for $122 and then on Priceline Express saw an unknown 3* for $118. Opted to drop this price by 20% for a Priceline name my own price at $95 for San Rafael 3*. Was counter offered $108. Added Sausalito and offered 50% of the difference at $102 and was accepted this Best Western and was surprised as it is not listed in the priceline hotel list. I was expecting the four points or embassy so was very happy to see the hotel I had originally seen named on Hotwire for $122 and got a $20 saving by naming my own price. Please add this Best Western Corte Madera Inn to the Priceline hotel lists for 3* Marin County - San Rafael

  7. tried 70,75,80,85 kept counter offering 95 Room Cost $85.00 /per room night Rooms 1 Nights 1 Taxes and Fees $21.46 Total Charges $106.46
  8. Saw a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal appear for $101 4* USW for my dates and although it was a day earlier than I would normally bid I had a pop at 10% at 91 less and won. I had tried $78, $81 and $87 I think first. Not stayed at this one before but looks really classy, and I think $91 for anything in a tourist area on the St Paddy's weekend is a killer deal so very happy indeed! This will be my 5th and final PRICELINE hotel for this SF leg of my trip phew!
  9. 7.30pm night before, Hotwire was showing a 4* USE for $120 for the 2 nights and $113 for 1 night. So subtracting the usual 20% hotwire premium I came up with the bid of $92 and added a dollar since I was wanting 2 nights. Instead of an instant response I got "Thank you for your patience. We're still looking for a hotel room at your price and should have an answer for you within 15 minutes. Click on the button below to get your answer." and then about 5 mins later got the bid accepted. What I think might have happened is $92 was enough for the first night but they had to check with the hotel to see if they would allow a second night at the slightly lower price and I suppose they agreed. I've done single nights yesterday and today so looking forward to 2 nights in the same hotel for a change.
  10. Thurs - Sun Financial 4* at $120 and weekdays Union Sq East $100 would be the best experience if its your first time in the city.
  11. Bid $120 it offered $139. Added rebid zone and bid $125 and got the Clift. Never stayed in this one before.
  12. Search options were 4*, union east & west and financial. First bid of $78 accepted. Was booked 4pm the day before which likely explains the low price. Tried to extend for another night at same rate, but sadly offered me $179.
  13. Was targeting Financial only. first bid $80 $90 offered $123 $100 offered $123 again $110 got Le Meridien Equivalent 4*was $126 on Hotwire todays rebid zones below 4*: jap town 3.5 marina 3 richmond 2* sfo n 3* s sf 3*
  14. Accepted straight off at $72 which I tried because another user got it for that. Maybe should have tried starting lower because its a Sunday night but was in a hurray.
  15. Parked in the Embassy suites underground lot 1 block west for $38 per night, seems quite a safe one. No in-out privileges for non-Embassy guests but I'm not using my car here anyway. Compared to the Intercontinental $65 per night I saved $81 for the 3 nights so well worth it! Btw its seems there are 2 halfs to this hotel, the nice old building and the ugly modern extension, which obviously is where they put the priceliners ;-) They cheekily say your room is on the newly refurbished grand tower, I wonder how bad it was before it was refurbished! Another thing to note is the beds are smaller than queen size more like singles.
  16. Was targeting the 4* Interconentintal because of its location as it's my first time in Chicago. Tried $88 then $91 as the other successful bidders got but was denied, perhaps because I'm including a Saturday night. So I used rebid zones to bid $95 and it was finally accepted, quite good considering it's $199 on hotels.com (where by the way it is listed as 4.5* and not 4* as on priceline). I noticed the valet parking fee is $64 but if anyone knows the self-park rate or has any parking tips for near that hotel that would be a great help thanks. Oh and I remembered to use the PRICELINE link!
  17. By $20 trick do you mean the bill between your ID and Credit card? I didn't know that was appreciated outside of Vegas! I might checkin here today so let me know, I'm currently put off by the $65 valet parking fee and cant see if self parking is any cheaper its not listed anywhere.
  18. this is a tough zone because the sheraton in a much better location goes for $65, so paying $86 for the Marriott across the river in Coralville doesn't seem a good deal. And btw the friends&family rate for that Marriott is only $69 so its a bit of a bummer to have to pay more than that on priceline...
  19. Tried $55 at 3.5* was rejected, added 3* rejected, added rebid zone and increased to $65 and was accepted. This was done at 3.30pm the day of. I might have been able to get $60 but was running too short of time to try $5 incs. Nice room in vintage factory-like building with massive window, and closer to the Old Market area than the Doubletree I was in last night, which by the way was sold out so possibly the reason why I couldn't get $55 again there tonight.
  20. Bid $55 straight off because saw others had success downtown with that bid and was accepted. It was a Monday though and did it at 4pm same day. I used the PRICELINE link. Old Market was quite nice tonight so tried to extend it by another night but was denied, will try again Tuesday morning.
  21. Started at 200 and added rebid zones for 210 and then 220 was accepted. It was 235 on Hotwire = 6.8% higher. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $220.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Guests Per Room: 2 Number of Nights: 3 Room Subtotal: $660.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $99.39 (USD) Total Room Cost: $759.39 (USD) There is also a $25 per night resort fee at the Aria Arias own rates for 2 queen room were as follows: 5/3 $219.00 5/4 $369.00 5/5 $409.00 Taxes: $128.64 Total: $1,125.64 Priceline saving: $366.25 Next best alternative was the Tropicana 4* at $128 on Hotwire (price line up to $120 4* south was unsuccessful) but we decided to spank it up in the Aria instead.
  22. First bid $110 led to a counter offer for $140. Later bid $121 which was accepted. Resort fee is $17 I believe, but supposedly gives in-room internet access. Thanks to this forum found out about the Paul McCartney gig. Got 4 seats together in a section better than anything on StubHub for $200 each on Ticket master. Booked them in 2 sets of 2 because 4 together it said wasn't available but weirdly the 2 sets of tickets are actually adjacent! Should be a good weekend :)
  23. 4* Downtown Vancouver West area hotel 05/13/11 - 05/15/11 $129 Fitness Restaurant Business High Speed Can anyone help ID this please?
  24. 3* San Francisco (Fisherman's Wharf) Holiday Inn $75 ... 3/19/11-3/21/11 Hotels.com same dates is $164 so great saving! There is supposed to be cheaper parking at the wharf for $15.
