  1. We stayed in Hudson two years ago for nine nights and loved it. Yes, rooms are very small, but quite well designed. I, my husband and our luggage and shopping bags fit well in the room. Great location, hotel has attractive public areas (especailly the rooftop bar on 15th? floor), staff was pleasant. If the price was right, I would stay there again.
  2. I did use the PRICELINE link. If the first bid is rejected, should I return to betterbidding to use the link to re-access?
  3. 92 $ Downtown - Soho - Financial District bid rejected Added Chelsea 94$ bid accepted Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $94.00 Subtotal: $1,128.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $223.17 Total Charges*: $1,351.17 We are very happy with this price and location. We were quite confident we would get Hilton Garden Inn Tribeca (even though you never can be 100% sure), friends won the same hotel for 95 $ for beg July.
  4. 1. bid 4* MTE, MTW $ 160 2. bid 4* MTE, UMT, MTS, Times Square $ 170 3. bid 4* MTE, MTS, MTW, UMT, Times Square $ 179 4. bid 4*, 3* MTE, MTS, MTW, UMT, Times Square $ 145 5. bid 4*, 3* MTE, MTS, MTW, UMT, Times Square, UES (no 3* hotels on UES) $ 155, accepted Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night:$155.00 Subtotal:$2,170.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $403.50 Total Charges*:$2,573.50 We are happy with Four Points Chelsea, I have understood it is not easy to get reasonable bids accepted for two rooms for a week. Next I would have bidded 165 $ for 3* adding UWS (no 3* hotels on UWS) . If bid 165 $ hadn't been accepted, we would have bought 169 $3* MTS from Hotwire.
  5. Sorry, wrong dates; correct are Mar 28th to Apr 4th
  6. Restaurant and fitness are the only amenities listed, can't find a match on the hotel lists. Thanks!

  8. Booked trough Priceline for $60, which really is very good price for London. Room on 8th floor was in in good condition with big bathroom. Good location, Oxford street has all the big department stores and Marble arch tube is 1 1/2 blocks away. Generally we were really happy with the hotel, room was quiet and good size for London, service was ok and price you hardly can beat.
  9. Couldn't find hotel listing for Dublin. Can anyone tell if city center south or city center northwould be a nicer option for a couple in late thirties (shopping, restaurants, sightseeing) and if I can find in thsi forum a list of Dublin hotels and/of Priceline winning bids.

  11. Thanks for info about Marathon, I know prices depend on dates, holidays and this kind of big events. We weren't sure if this is high or low season pricewise. Fortunately we are flexible with our travel dates.
  12. What would be a suitable bid for 4* and/or 5* in Mayfair-Soho area? We are a 38 yr daughter/68 yr mother, my mother did inherit some money lately and want to treat me with a trip to London. I would like to find us a very nice hotel for a reasonable price. Also, any idea how easy it would be to get a twin bed instead of double if booked via Priceline or do they just give the lowest level room available without asking preferences?
  13. We did get a $ 88 rate for Apr 26 for three nights, it's a bit early, but we are taking the risk. On Westin web site the lowest rate was $ 269 non refundable.
