  1. I'm looking for a hotel the night of 7/6.  I'll be in town for a play at the Cadillac Palace Theater.  I'm looking for the best value in relation to the theater and we are arriving/departing via Amtrak.  I'm seeing the following:

    4.5* Theater District/Loop for $117 w/ the following amenities:

Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Pet Friendly - 95% recommendation

    4* Theater District/Loop for $106 w/ the following amenities:

Restaurant, Fitness, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Roll-in Shower - 80% recommendation

As always, I'm always open to other suggestions if you see something in a better location.

  2. I’m looking for a hotel for one night – 6/15.  I’m attending a show at the Oriental Theater, so I’d like to stay as close to the theater as possible.  Last time, I stayed at the Cambria which was PERFECT.  Unfortunately, I don’t think that hotel is available.  I’m seeing the following hotels as options, so I’d like some help to identify them.

Millennium Park $123 – 4 star – 95% recommendation - Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower.  I think this could be the Blackstone.  If so, that’s too far south.

Theater District/Loop  $154 – 4.5 star – 95% recommendation - Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Spa services.  Do you think this is the LondonHouse?

Do you see something that I’m missing?

  3. My trip plans have firmed up, so I need to change areas.  I'm now looking at Chelsea and Gramercy.  It looks like most of the Gramercy hotels have a hefty extra fee!!  I'm seeing the following:

4 star Gramercy Union Square for $179 with the following amenities -  Free Internet, Fitness center, Business center, Internet access, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, Accessible parking but a $23 resort fee.

3.5 star Gramercy Union Square for $183 with the following amenities - Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Restaurant(s), Internet access but a $33 resort fee

3.5 star Chelsea for $185 with the following amenities - Free Internet, Fitness center, Business center, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower but NO RESORT FEE!

Can you help with this ID?  See anything close to this area but in another zone that you'd recommend? I'm afraid to go with anything lower than an 80% rating.

  4. I'm looking for a hotel for the night of 3/16.  I'm going to be in town for a play at the Oriental Theater.  Since this is a very centralized trip, I'm hoping to get a hotel as close to the area as I can in case the weather is horrible.  We leave the first thing on 3/17 on Amtrak, and I’m afraid that there will be St. Pat’s crowds to try to avoid.  It seems like there are a TON of choices within $10 of each other, so my deciding factor would be easiest walk to theater.

I’m seeing the following options, and I’d like some ID help

4 star – River North for $112 with the following amenities - Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower – 90% recommended

3 star – Theater District/Loop for $113 with the following amenities - Free breakfast, Free Internet, Indoor pool(s), Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access – 100% recommended

3.5 star – River North for $114 with the following amenities - Free Internet, Indoor pool(s), Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower – 90% recommended

4 star – Theater District/Loop for $118 with the following amenities - Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Internet access – 95% recommended

  5. I'd like some help with a couple of IDs.  The first hotel that I see is 4* Union Square Flat Iron for $160 that has the following amenity set: Free Internet, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Restaurant(s), Internet access.  The part that is throwing me off is the bunk bed option that becomes available when going to the booking page.  It only has 44 reviews and a 90% recommendation rate.

Therefore, I'm wondering about this hotel 3.5* Union Square Flat Iron for $176 that has the following amenity set: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Internet access.  This hotel only has 9 reviews and a 90% recommendation rate.

I'm not against other districts if you see an outstanding property for those dates that you'd suggest. I just don't want to be in Times Square or further north than Times Square.  I'd like to stay at around $200.

    THANKS IN ADVANCE

  6. I'm looking at 2 hotels for these dates, and I was hoping for some help with ID.

Millennium Park 4 star for $109 Amenity Set - Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower (Blackstone or Palmer House - don't want to be as far south as Blackstone.)

River North 4.5 star for $127 Amenity Set - Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services, Children's activities (Thinking the Westin??)

ANY help would be welcomed.  We really don't "need" a specific area.  We're coming into Union Station, and we're comfortable with public transportation.

  7. I'm trying to ID these two hotels.  I figure one of them is the Loews which I've stayed at before and loved.  However, if I could further east in the zone than the Loews it would be better.

  8. I promised my husband that I wouldn't make him stay near Times Square, so that area is out.  We've now added a 3rd show in the Theater District since my post yesterday.  I'd say good reviews are my top priority then value.  As for daytime plans, we're going to go to the Bronx one day and hang out in Central Park if the weather is good.

  9. Hello!!  I'm flying in from LGA on one of the last flights of the day on 5/3.  I'd like to find a hotel that is centralized and close to subway lines.  I do have shows on two nights in Theater District, but I'm not too worried about being close to that area.

I've found the following deals, and I was hoping for input on the hotels they could possibly be or or if you see a hotel in another zones you think are more attractive.  I'm truly open for anything.  I'd like to stay under $225 a night.

3* Theater District/Midtown West ($173) - FULL AMENITIES: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Business center, Internet access

3 1/2* Empire State Building ($177) - FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower
