  1. Tried Priceline twice at $82 and $85 for a 3 star in Little Italy and lost, although they offered a 3* at $90. Went for Hotwire, hoping for Porto Vista, but got the HI. 3. Needed 2 rooms two nights ago. Bid $50 and lost. Added on Carbondale which doesn't have a 2.5*, and rebid $59. Won with that and they upgraded to the 3* Courtyard, which is nice, and about 7 blocks from the main street (Grand Ave). 4. Red Lion Hotel Denver Central 4040 Quebec Street Denver, CO 80216 303-321-6666 Bid $43 for a Saturday night...could not reproduce for Sunday night as that's a busy business date. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $43.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Guests Per Room: 2 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $43.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $13.08 (USD) Total Room Cost: $56.08 (USD) Very good price overall. If you win this, try not to get a room facing the railroad or I-70 as they can be noisy. Best to face interior swimming pool.
  5. Hotwire had a 2* for $54, so I started at $55 for a 3.5* and won right away. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $55.00 Subtotal: $55.00 Taxes & Fees: $14.99 Total Charges*: $69.99 Where's the EASY button?!! :)
  6. No big deal but the Denver map... http://www.betterbidding.com/index.php?aut...age=denver& comes up as Denver, Maui, not Denver Colorado.
  7. First bid...total about half the rate through Marriott directly. I'm happy :)
  8. Didn't think I'd get this...there's a conference going on and most budget motels were booked. First bid of $52 worked :)) Saved about half.
  9. I bid $45 in Boulder on Priceline for a 3.5* and lost, then added a 3* and bid $47 and won. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night):$47.00 (USD) Number of Rooms:1 Number of Nights:1 Room Subtotal:$47.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees:$12.60 (USD) Total Room Cost:$59.60 (USD) TripAdvisor has mixed reviews but it will work for a night. Orbitz and Expedia have the base price starting at $139 so I feel this is a super deal. :) Alternately, I could have throught Hotwire gotten a $45 room - 3* - with tax for $60. Note: On your pinned Hotwire the Millennium is listed under Denver and is a 3.5*: 3.5* Millennium Harvest House Boulder Amenities: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Tennis, Laundry On your pinned Priceline it's a 3* under Boulder, not Denver.
  10. I kept bidding around $40 for a 3.5 and 3* for all districts of Santa Fe and lost. Finally went for 2.5* at $39 and lost for Plaza and South. Then bid $35 for Cerrillos Rd. and won. On Holiday Inn, Orbitz, Expedia, and Travelocity the same room would have been $95 - 100 with taxes so I'm happy. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $35.00 Subtotal: $35.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $12.54 Total Charges*: $47.54
  11. Casino, Shuttle, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, High-Speed
  12. I bid on PRICELINE numerous times for a 4* or 3.5* at less than $30 and failed. So, I went with the HOTWIRE deal of $19 for a 3* that, thanks to Betterbidding, I predicted would be the Palace Station. Numerous reviews had this hotel, specifically the Courtyard section, as not so nice. Amazingly I won the Tower which cost more through any site and has a nice review. I'm very happy with this deal. 13. I forgot to add...regular prices with tax are around $120 thru the usual vendors.
  14. I first checked HOTWIRE prices, and assumed I could go lower on PRICELINE. Bid $52 for Fullerton for a 3* and lost, then $54 adding on Anaheim Hills and lost. Added on Disney and bid $39 and lost. Then added Seal Beach and went up to $46 and won in Disneyland, and ideal location at a great price. Add on taxes and the total is Check-In Date: Saturday, September 13, 2008 Check-Out Date: Sunday, September 14, 2008 Region: Orange County, CA City Areas: Anaheim Hills Disneyland Area Fullerton - Brea Seal Beach- North Huntington- Ftn Valley Check-In Time: Guaranteed late night arrival Check-Out Time: Check-out times vary by hotel Room 1: DenverLogans Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $46.00 Subtotal: $46.00 Taxes and Services Fees: $12.66 Total Charges*: $58.66 Add $11 for in/out self parking, possibly a $15 Sunday brunch, indoor and out swimming pools, big atrium, and I just called and I can check in anytime for my 10th floor suite...sweet!!
  15. I tried to win a 4* yesterday on Priceline for downtown Denver, but lost after 8 bids, going up to $90. Yesterday a 3.5* was $62 on Hotwire...today $65...I booked it...got the Sheraton - used to be the Adams Mark. Got the same last year for this time! It's good...I'm comfortably booked in a good place at a really good price.
  16. I started at $69 for a 4* Denver Downtown and kept adding neighborhoods that didn't have 4* and went up to $90. It could have been the Hyatt Convention Hotel which would have been peachy. I'll probably use HOTWIRE where I think I can get the 3.5* Sheraton for $62 a night. :)
  17. I bid $53 on a 2.5* and lost...it wouldn't let me bid on a 3*. I even tried setting up a new account on my girlfriends computer under her name, but I used my same credit card and it caught me...damn!! So I was going to book the Economy Inn for $52 on Orbitz but ooooh...those Travelocity reviews were a tad scarry (smally, gunshot)! Hotwire had a 2* for $49 but it wasn't directly downtown where I wanted to be...so I bit $46 for a 2* thru Priceline and won... Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $46.00 Subtotal: $46.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $12.52 Total Charges*: $58.52 On the Extended Stay website the prices start at $104, and $114 on Orbitz, so I feel good...decent reviews also though not city center where I wanted to be (very close, though). Prices for the Courtyard in city center had gone up significantly on their website which is why I didn't get it this time whereas I got it mionths ago. Anyway...great deal for the money as always! :) :) :o
  18. I actually first bid $57 for the 3 * and lost, but Priceline said if I upped my bid $17 I would stand a better chance, or some such wording! I didn't want to pay that much and am glad I didn't :)
  19. First I bid $56 for a 3* and lost. Then went for $51 for a 2.5* and won... Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $51.00 Subtotal: $51.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $13.31 Total Charges*: $64.31 Hotwire had a 2.5* for $59 before taxes/fees. The Marriott website, Expedia, and Orbitz all have a room starting at $139 before taxes. It's rated #6 or 34 on Tripadvisor. SCORE! :)
  20. I bid $51 for a 2.5* Studio Cities and $61 for a 3* Pasadena and lost. I almost went for the 2* Burbank on Hotwire for $54 base price, but it looked like it could be a hotel with bad reviews. I went for the 3* for Burbank at $53 and won :) Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $53.00 Subtotal: $53.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $13.87 Total Charges*: $66.87 This works for me...the Marriott website, Orbitz and Expedia have prices starting at $199. It looks like I'll have to pay $14 for overnight parking though :)
  21. A friend needed a couple nights while I'm there...this Adams Mark has been a sure thing for me the past few weeks. Thru HOTWIRE I got this 3* at $69 base price. 22. I bid $66 on Priceline for a 4* and lost, so switched to Hotwire to secure this 3* at $62, about $77 with tax/fees. It runs $259 plus thru other sites...major score! :) Fitness Center Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply. 23. I bid $56 for airport, then $57 including USW, then $61 including USE and won. Before taxes it's listed for $229 on Travelocity, Expedia, Orbitz....$261 with taxes. Sweet :) My rate: Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $61.00 Subtotal: $61.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $16.16 Total Charges*: $77.16
  24. I bid $61 for a 4* and Botique in San Fran (USW) and tried for Berkeley (I'm flexible!). Bid $56 for the max. star, 2.5 for Berkeley, and won! Before taxes it's $189 thru Doubletree, Expedia, Orbitz (which lists it as a 4*), or Priceline. However, the DT website says the pool will be down while I'm there...bummer :) Still, the pics look great so I'm happy... :o :) :) :D Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $56.00 Subtotal: $56.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $13.87 Total Charges*: $69.87
