  19. oops... yes, I used the PRICELINE link on this site to begin my bid.
  20. I am posting a reply for the same reason WxGuy1 - just an FYI. I've had similar problems booking for 2 days on 7/23 and 7/24 (I bid up to $125). No luck. I changed my date to check in on the 23rd and stay 1 night, but no luck even though I upped my bid to $140. I searched the Seattle calendar and it seems there are a few events happening on the 23rd and I think there are at least 3 cruise ships sailing on the 24th. I therefore changed my check in date to 7/24 staying 1 night and was successful on priceline getting the Renaissance at $125. I then tried to extend my stay by 1 night - changed check in date to 23rd - and message came back nothing available. I guess the 23rd is just a busy night. Have you checked the availability and prices through Travelocity/Expedia/Orbitz, etc? If availability is lacking and the prices are high, then maybe the dates you are looking at are just busy nights, and it may be worthwhile to just up your bid some more. Another option for you is to possibly go to various hotel websites and look at what corp rates they are offering. I did that aftermy bid for the 24th was accepted and and found a corporate rate with the Renaissance for the 23rd which is not that much more than my Priceline bid (probably about $20/night more), so I may just book with them for that night.
  21. Renaissance Seattle Hotel 515 Madison Street Seattle, WA 98104 Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $125.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Guests Per Room: 2 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $125.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $26.58 (USD) Total Room Cost: $151.58 (USD) Wanted a room on 7/23 as well, but none were available at this price in this area so I changed my check-in date. Tried to extend my stay once bid accepted for earlier check-in, but no luck either. Oh well...
  22. Originally wanted to extend my priceline win at the Gand Hyatt (my bid was accepted at $75). Was offered to extend it for $118 but I rejected this offer. Started bidding again on various areas but being careful not to bid in any other area with a 4* other than Downtown Pike Place hoping to get the Grand Hyatt again. Started at $75 and increased bids in increments of anywhere from $3 to $5. Bid finally accepted at $96 by Hyatt Olive at 8. Sucks to have to check out to check in again, but at least the hotels are practically next to each other. Used BB's PRICELINE link to start my bid, BTW.
  23. Started my bid using the PRICELINE link. First bid accepted. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $75.00 Subtotal: $75.00 Taxes & Fees: $18.67 Total Charges*: $93.67
  24. I put in a bid few weeks ago for various areas in London and the Hilton London Hyde park accepted my bid at $98 for 4/13-4/17 and $94/night for 4/27-4/29 . Just today, we decided to stay an extra day on Apr 26 so I looked into extending our stay. Price offered by Priceline to extend was $150, which was a little too much for me. So I took a chance and used name your own price and put in a starting bid of $85 hoping to get the same hotel. Risk paid off as bid was accepted. :) I am happy with this, but can'thelp thinking I should have had a better bidding strategy in the beginning and maybe I could have bid less. Oh well. $98 is still probably a good deal, though. :) Used the PRICELINE link on this site.
