  1. I need some advice on a 2 bedroom (4 people) suite in the airport or south jersey area. Dates would be 12/25- 12/31. Thanks in advance!
  2. Would like USE, USW area and about $100 max rate for 3 * or greater.
  3. I need some help in San Francisco for the area of Mission & Spear Street. I will be there only one night & won't need parking, just a decent room for the night. Shuttle service to SFO would be needed. Thanks in advance!
  4. I nead a hotel near the Abbott Northwestern Hospital 6/8-6/9/06 and would like to know if any one has won in that area. Downtown MSP would work if that's as close as I can get. Nothing fancy is needed just a safe & reasonable $ place is required for one person. Thanks is advance!
  5. Good morning, Can anyone tell me which hotel this might be? It shows to have a restaurant, pool & fitness center. Thanks in advance, Joe
  6. I think I will go with your advice. Thanks again!
  7. Well...having a car to get around in, almost any area would be fine in Vegas . I guess if I can get a room in a not "not so hot area" for around $80 or less I would go with that. I don't mean to come off as wishy washie but I have not been to Vegas in years, and just need some good advice. So bottom line is a fair priced room in a "safe" area. Thanks for all your help..your the best! Joe
  8. The track is near Nellis AFB - North Vegas, so that area or Fremont street would probably work. Priceline shows 2 * moderate or 3 * upscale which I think would be in my range.
  9. Star rating...3 or better I guess. Not sure what you would get for less then 3 *.
  10. The zone doesn't matter as long as it's a safe area. Budget wise...$75 range would be good, but can go a little more if needed. I am not going for the casinos or shows, just some drag races that weekend.
  11. I will be going to Vegas April 7-10th for some races & just need (2) clean & safe room's at a good price. I will have a rental car so location is not real important. Thanks in advance for any help! Joe
  12. I had 2 rooms, 4 nights booked through PL last December at the Park Central Hotel in NYC & found out by being nice & tipping the clerk $20, I received what I wanted, non-smoking adjoining rooms for my stay. The rooms were only $80 each per night so $20 was well worth it too me. I did call the hotel prior to my arrival & they said "they will try to give me what I wanted" but couldn't guarantee it. A little green can go a long way! :)
  13. Living in Iowa I kind of know the hotels in Des Moines & was looking for a place downtown near a show we were going to Saturday night. The Super 8 wanted $75 night (no way) so I took a chance on bidding $40 on a 3* (highest available) and won it first try. The hotel, Renaissance Des Moines Savery was awesome! Two beds, 2 baths and just a great place for the money. It has free parking on the weekends and is across the street from the civic center. Also, there is free internet in the room, nice pool & fitness center as well, and the skywalk lets you walk to all the downtown attractions away from the weather. I did check trip advisor after winning the hotel & the reviews were mostly very good. It's the best kept secret in des moines IMO. The hotel website had the same room listed for $119.00 night. Here are the details: Check-In Date: Saturday, February 19, 2005 Check-Out Date: Sunday, February 20, 2005 Hotel Name: Renaissance Des Moines Savery 401 Locust Street Des Moines, Iowa 50309 515-244-2151 Your Offer Price: $40.00 Number of Rooms: 2 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $80.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $17.90 Total Charges: $97.90
  14. I bid $50 night for 3* and was rejected. Rebid $60 & added 2* deptford and was accepted. They are doing a major re-modeling on this hotel although it was in MO a nice place. Staff was great, rooms are big & it workred out great. I like it better then the airport Marriott because the parking is free, and the rooms are bigger.
  15. How long does it usually take for them to confirm?
  16. Thank for the Easy Click link which shows $99 for the MP - good price & yes Hotels.com will show how many rooms they have left when viewed. Either way if I lose my PL bid I can get the MP for $100 which is fine with me. I probably will use the bidding idea you suggested for a 4*up to $110 to see what I could get. Thanks again!
  17. Thanks for the info & I will let you know of my success (or failure)!
  18. I only need a safe place for me & my family and the Hilton would probably work fine (will check reviews shortly). If you have a specific game plan I am all ears! I don't care about the doorman etc so personal service is not a big deal. Thanks!
