  1. Thanks for the perspective. The info about the predictive pricing was very helpful. In the last 24 hours, the $352 is gone but now I see an offer at $285 for the same dates and what appears to be also EPM. Full amenities for the $285 deal are as follows. Do you think this is still EPM? If yes, I'm going to book now and not get greedy, haha!

  2. Yeah, we stayed there several years ago and loved it, and have stayed at Excellence Riviera Cancun numerous times.  We really love the Beloved (next door to EPM) and would prefer that property but the price is way higher this year for some reason (it's usually less than EPM... go figure).

Our friends are out due to a work conflict so now the final question remains before I hit the book button:  will the price go down in that same timeframe (mid-Sep) due to a decline in travel resulting from the coronavirus???  Do you have any opinions on that?  I've been reading the news and seeing lots of rumblings about decline in business and leisure travel globally as a result.  I scored some great deals to the Riviera Maya in 2009 during the swine flu scare.  Thoughts?

  3. Thank you so much, this is very helpful.  How often do you see the MO pop up on HOTWIRE?  I'm trying to decide if it's once in a blue moon, or if I should hold out to see if it shows up.  If it's a rare occurrence, would you say $165 for the Encore (or perhaps $150 if the second property you ID'd could be the Encore) is a good price for HOTWIRE/PRICELINE?  I will probably book the $165/night property and hope for the Encore, but I thought I would seek a bit more insight before I finalize the deal.  Thank you very much.

  4. Hello, I'm in search of a room at the Encore or Mandarin Oriental for 6/29/18 - 7/2/18.  I see the MO listed on your Hotwire hotels list, and the Encore listed on both Hotwire and Priceline lists.   I've been using the Bidding Helper, but I don't see  a clear hit for either hotel on either Hotwire or Priceline, to include Priceline Express Deals.   For the two areas in question, I am seeing what looks like the Palazzo and the Venetian on Hotwire, and what could be any 5* casino hotel on Priceline.  Can I respectfully request assistance in confirming that either the Encore or MO are or are not showing up?  I included both Hotwire and Priceline information here... sorry if that is the wrong approach but I wasn't sure if I should make two separate threads or if one thread was better.  Please let me know what other information you need (e.g. amenities listed for the myriad of hotels that are showing up that might be my target hotels).  Thanks in advance for the assist!  (PS.  If you see something in the 5* category in the north or central Strip areas that you would recommend to me, in the event my two choices aren't available, I would be grateful for suggestions.)

    Hotwire:

    - North Strip Fashion Show Mall area, 5* (seeking Encore)

    - Center Strip Fountains area, 5* (seeking MO)

    Priceline

    - Strip Northeast 5* (seeking Encore)

  5. Thanks, one of these days I'll do this right the first time.

I checked and yes, the amenities you captured for the likely Miramonte is what I'm seeing as well.  The $126 PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals does seem consistent w/ the Hyatt.  going to confirm I have the time off before pulling the trigger.  Will leave your reply in my inbox to remind me to follow up with the outcome.  Thanks for the assistance.

Looking to get the Hyatt Regency or La Quinta Resort.  Not interested if there is a chance this could be the Miramonte.  It looks like the Hyatt but the "smoke free" is throwing me off.  TIA.

  7. PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals is giving me the following result (see below). The Virginia Priceline Express Deals list of known hotels shows the exact same amenities as the 2.5* Country Inn and Suites Richmond West, but the listing I'm seeing is only 2* and there are no 2* hotels shown in the Express Deals list of known hotels for this region.  Help!
