  1. Well, it's actually $40! You basically get 4 wristbands to enter the water park. I think extra's are like $15 each. The internet is really expensive. It' around $12 per device. So if you get it for your laptop, then you need to pay extra for wifi for your phone. But the waterpark is probably the best in the Phoenix Area, so if you have kids. it's a good deal..
  2. Cheapest with AAA rate is $179. Without AAA it would be $199. I got it for $115. This is the only 5 star property in Tempe South. The main reason to stay here is the pool park for the kids. The craptacular aspect is the lame $30 "resort fee" tacked on to any room rate. Checking the boards, in 2011, this property usually won between $95 and $100. Bid History: 1st bid $90 FAIL 2nd bid $100 FAIL, but Priceline countered at $126. I declined. 3rd bid $115 SUCCESS. I'll post a review when I get back.
  3. It's the only one that is reported for Tempe South as a Resort. According to the board no one has won any other resort for Tempe South. I've also lived in that area, so I know that it's the only resort. Tempe is not a huge city. I just tried to bid $90 for the July 4th weekend and failed.
  4. $63 + $16.69 taxes = $70. The official Marriott site is asking $189.00 for that same night. So FTW! Used PRICELINE link. Love the extra GUI elements to post the win.
  5. Lowest rate on ichotels (for Holiday Inn) website is $147. Pain in the arse to get a low rate in Scottsdale area because of baseball spring training. This is not really in Scottsdale even though the name has it. I used the PRICELINE link so enjoy your cash!
  6. THE 3* HOTEL AMENIITIES ARE:Amenities:Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), RESTAURANT(S), HIGH SPEED INTERNET ACCESS, BUSINESS CENTER, LAUNDRY (SELF SERVICE) Hotel Menage mini review: PROS: close to Disneyland (but still too far to walk), Fast wireless internet, updated rooms, LCD TV. CONS: LOUD. OMG the noise from I-5/Ball Street/Harbor is really really loud.
  7. After spending a few days on Priceline trying to nail down $55 for a 3 star in Anaheim with no luck, the Hotel Menage is perfect! Probably the best 3 star for a Disneyland vacation. Hotel Menage Regular Price is $99 Hotwire price is $56 Got a tip from this Hotwire Orlando Hotel thread.
  8. Wound up simply paying the Marriott Courtyard $110 for a suite that both families stayed at. Talked to the manager and they were 95% full that weekend. Labor Day weekend in northern CA is a bad time to look for deals.
  9. Best Rate from site is $89. 54% savings! and i used the PRICELINE link. thx for running the site and also for not being Sheryl
  10. Tried to follow success for bid in early july at $82. $82 bid rejected for 9/1/11.
  11. $70 which is not bad... however, they offer an internet special for $72 on their site. So try $65 which is the lowest successful price reported in the last five months.
  12. I'd say Fiesta Resort is really pushing it to say they are a 3.5*. I'd classify them as a typical 3*. The heating/cooling systems are archaic wall units and the internet is crappy weak signal wireless. I'd check with the local Sheritan or Comfort Inn nearby. However, they have a great location to downtown ASU and Tempe.
  13. Bid for $70 since I got that deal with El Conquistador Resort a couple of weeks ago. However there's a big soccer tournament here in Tucson so wasn't surprised that it was rejected. So I accepted the $20+ rebid offer and got the Omni Resort. The cheapest rate on the Omni website is $149 so I saved $60 bucks. I used the PRICELINE link. (Just a heads up, after using Priceline for three years, you generally can get much better deals on hotels in Phoenix. Tucson averages around $75 for resorts. In Phoenix, I can pretty much get a resort for $50 a night.)
  14. The board doesn't seem to allow me to edit my post. Please change the date to 10/2 through 10/3. Thanks. And yes I used the PRICELINE links.
  15. Resort Tucson (La Paloma-Ventana Canyon) Loews Ventana Resort $70 ... 4/10/11-4/14/11 Subtotal: $70.00 AZ Bend Over fees: $18.70 Total Charges: $88.70 The cheapest I've seen anyone win this hotel is at $65. If you book on Loews Ventana's site, the cheapest room goes for $249.00 :) Of the two hotels in Tucson Region 1, I'd say that Ventana Canyon has the better rooms than La Paloma. They both charge generally the same price on Priceline.
  16. 9/4/10-9/5/10 Price: $45 (Cheapest Room on their site retails for Weekend rate is $74.95, so PL saved me $36) Taxes & Fees: $13.68 Total Room Cost: $58.68 I bid $35 originally because of people winning $35 for the Chandler Radisson back in June. Priceline allowed me to rebid immediately for $10 more. Not too bad as it's only 5 min away from the other Hotel.
  17. USING THE PRICELINE link: Radisson Hotel Phoenix Airport 3333 East University Drive Phoenix, AZ 85034 602-437-8400 I tried $39 the first time so you might be able to go lower. Room Cost: $39.00 (USD) (Normal Cost is $108) :) Taxes and Fees: $12.59 (USD) Total Room Cost: $51.59 (USD) Notes: Yeah, I'd rather pay $39.00 rather than $108. I called the hotel about their Park and Fly rates. He said they would charge about $4 per day to leave our car there. That's better than the $7 per day at any of the airport lots. The Radisson website has a special at $99 per night for two weeks free of Park and Fly. But Priceline beats that even with Radisson charging me at $4/day. $39 + 7*4 = 39 + 28 = $67. If you were to leave your car there for the full two weeks, then I suggest just getting the $99 deal. As usual the hotel clerk is a bit snarky about Priceline customers. Tough sheit. Better than leaving the room empty.
  18. Yeah I've hit this at $64 a day in the last few years. Decent place, Has a bunch of pools and a neat waterslide for older kids. Very expensive place to eat though.
  19. Stayed here many times in the last six years. Parking is always a problem, and you better be good a parallel parking on slopes. The entire resort is on a sleep mountain side. The rooms are spacious and are basically one-bedrooms with a door between the two parts. Lots of Phoenicians do a staycation there because of the pool and waterslide for the kids. Internet is NOT free. However, they do provide an empty fridge for you to put food in.
  20. Well I've stayed there twice and they put us in the pool area. The chlorine smell is pretty bad from the pool. Also when kids are using the pool you can hear them in the rooms. Lots of echo in there. The internet is now free, but it was REALLY slow when I used it.
  21. Hi, Crowne Plaza is a 3.5 star resort. I've stayed there twice this year. Since AZ is arresting all brown looking people, the hotels are hurting for business this summer. You should really bid for 4 star as you will be paying the same price for something MUCH nicer now. The Crowne Plaza has an indoor pool, but the smell of chlorine is pretty bad throughout. You will hear kids splashing around the pool even at the top floor. The internet access is free but it's really really SLOW at all times of the day. I did a couple of internet tests and I was getting 56K modem speeds. Now if you have tons of kids, then it might not be so bad. Also the largest Phoenix mall is right next door (Metrocenter)
