Had to add more nights to a trip already booked on Priceline. Have Hilton Santa Clara at $58/night for the first night. Tried to add nights, but Priceline wanted $100 per night when I tried to extend the stay. Had problems getting anything. I had bid up to $75 for 4*, $70 for 3.5*, and got this 3* for $66. Was trying to bid for Palo Alto, mistakenly thought San Jose South was a Re-Bid zone at the 3* level. Oops! Looks like an interesting property to stay at, if not a little further from the office than anticipated! I think I could have picked up this hotel for a lot less, prices in Palo Alto seem higher than San Jose. It is still a significant savings over the list price of $149/nt. Got on first bid San Jose (Redwood City) 2* $38 Would not recommend this property. It was poorly maintained, loud, dirty, and had smoking rooms on same floor as non-smoking rooms. Luckily, location was within 1 mile of hospital where I delivered baby, and husband used room as "home base" for a few nights.
