  1. Thank you Thereuare. The hotel was indeed the Hyatt West Hollywood got 2 rooms for $94 each per night.Went through the link and managed to complete the purchase online this time. We are thrilled thanks for your help. Just Hawaii to sort out now.
  2. Hi Looking for a hotel 31/3 for 4 nights in Bev Hills or Hollywood/West Hollywood. Came up with 3.5 * 94$ Hollywood - West Hollywood Hotel Restaurant Pool Fitness Golf Tennis Business Centre Looking at the packages Think this may be Hyatt West Hollywood. Any ideas would be appreciated Thanks
  3. Could you tell me what TOBB is please
  4. Thanks for the help Lonestar and thereuare. Unfortunately it seems that as I am a resident of the UK I cant use Priceline.com. Used Priceline uk using the same strategy but so far failed. Bid up to
  5. As I have not used Priceline before could you please suggest a strategy for bidding to get a resort in Maui. You are right bother the Hyatt andthe Sheraton look great. Thanks
  6. Thanks I have looked at the packages and agree that the Hyatt is likely. Not sure about Priceline as I have read some poor reviews of the Sheraton and not sure if I would want to stay there. Have you been there? Have been watching prices since mid December and the price for this resort has dropped by 37$ so maybe I will wait a while.
  7. Hi all I am looking at a 4.5* Customer favourite in Kanapali for April 8 for 4 nights amenities are Hotel Resort Beachfront Restaurant Pool Fitness Centre Spa Childrens activiites Golf nearby Also Tennis and Business Centre come up on full amenities list. I think this is the Westin. They are offering it at 200$. My question is, is it generally best to wait nearer the time for Hawaii or is April high season there.
  8. Thanks guys. That control key really works. Very useful
  9. This is probably a dumb question but how does your easyclick travel link work. I have tried to search putting in dates and clicking on the search buttons but nothing happpens. Im sure it must be simple but cant get there. Any help appreciated Thanks
  10. Hi I have booked 2 rooms at the Venetian using Hotwire and am pleased to know that you had no snubs for using Hotwire. Having not used them before I was a little concerned. Thanks
  11. I am in the UK. Think it was the phone number that caused most problems. I put the country code in and then the area code. But it kept asking me for the 10 digit phone number but ours are only 6. So it kept getting rejected
  12. Does anyone have any experience of purchasing on Hotwire with a non US address? I have only used them once and was unable to complete the transaction despite selecting non us address option. It was rejected several times due to 'address' and 'phone number' Although I was able to complete the purchase by phone and the operator was helpful he could offer no real solution. As I intend to use them again in the next week or so does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks alot
  13. Only recently discovered this site and have already found it very useful in booking acommodation. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Good luck
  14. Thank you Thereuare Just booked with Hotwire got the Venetian $147 per night. Very pleased as the final night on the hotel website is $239. The icons were Hotel Casino Resteraunts Pools Fitness Centre Spa Internet Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Business Centre(Came up after clicking hotel amenities) Described as Customer favourite and Best Value Thanks for all your help everone. Will now move on to look at Maui and Waikiki
  15. Thanks Akhon I am in the UK and have never used Hotwire or Priceline. From the informatiion given by others on this board I could almost certainly get the Venetian much cheaper from Pricelineso will need to decide if I am going to take the chance or go for Hotwire. The Venetian direct would cost me 766$ for the period wheras Hotwire would cost 576$ still a very good saving as I dont really want to split the nights. Hope you enjoy your trip
  16. Am still watching Hotwire Prices for a strip hotel 12 April til 16 April. 5* Customer Favourite which I believe to be the Venetian is now coming up at 144$. This seems a good deal. Does anyone know if it is likely to go down? Also in the final amount payable is the tax charged by Hotwire the room tax or something else. Am a Hotwire Novice.
  17. Have booked Radisson in Waikiki as a back up. Rate of 160$. But intend to cancel and go with either Hotwire or Priceline. Hotwire are offering Waterfront customer favourite 4.5 star for 133$ at the moment which seems a good deal. Not made a decision on Maui yet. Will book direct with Westin (286$ spg rate) and wait to see if hotwire rate for 4.5 or 5 comes down. Aside from that have booked Crowne Plaza at 114$ in Beverly Hills as it seems difficult to work out which hotels are ofered by Hotwire there. Also booked MGM Grand in LV some time ago as back up. This site is really useful and I have recommended it to my friends
  18. Thanks John I will definatly try Priceline but maybe leave it a week or so
  19. Thanks bbbb I will let you know if I am successful.
  20. I guess I will just have to take a deep breath and go fo it. I do like a bargain and the thought of getting the Venetian or bellagio at a knock down rate is too tempting. You have been a great help thanks alot
  21. We live in the UK and Hotwire and Priceline are not really generally used tools for booking travel. So feel a little uncomfortable bidding on the 'unknown' So in your opinion if I were to bid on Priceline for a 5* Strip hotel I would be bidding for either Venetian or Bellagio (probably). Either would be acceptable. Stayed at the B and it was beautiful but would really like to try the V if poss. Thanks
  22. Thanks bbbb maybe I will wait a while to see what happens. The Venetian is quoting 199$ for 2 nights with one each at 149 and 249 so 173$ would give a good saving. Cant think what other 5" hotel could be on the strip other than the Bellagio. But have never booked with Hotwire or Priceline so am a bit wary.
  23. I have just checked Hotwire for 4 nights starting 12 April and have come up with 173$ per night. The hotel was a customer favourite and displayed the icons Casino Restaurant Pool Fitness Centre Spa Highspeed Internet Golf nearby Tennis Nearby Business Centre Does anyone know if this is likely to be the Venetian or the Bellagio. Also is it worth hanging on a bit longer is the rate likely to go down Thanks
  24. Thank you for pointing this out. We will be visiting Wailiki April 4 to 8 and Maui April 8 to 12 four nights in each destination. Thanks
