  6. Hi there! I've never used Hotwire or Priceline for renting a car. I'd like to know whether is it easy to contract an insurance when I pick the car up. Will that price be the same as if I had rented the car normally or is there any risk of a trap? Many people prefer to rely on credit card coverage but I'm always affraid to do so, especially abroad (I'm from Brazil, I must say), because I don't want to have any kind of trouble. Another thing: is that insurance offered by Hotwire exclusive to USA residents? Or does it apply to foreigners as well? Thanks in advance :) . Thais

  8. Sometimes they say it's recommended by 90% of hotwire customers. Sometimes they say they're still gathering reviews. Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Orlando Universal Studios. I used the HOTWIRE link up there.
  9. We didn't come up to an agreement. Different interests. Anyway, I found that Hotwire options weren't paying the risk. I found a very nice rate in Decolar.com for the Riviere South Beach Hotel (~US$ 370 for 3 days, all tax and fees included) and I did a reservation there. Later on I may look up in hotwire again but I'm afraid I will find no better offer. Hig season. Now I'm doing a research for my Orlando 10 days stay, using the link above, of course. Thanks for your help.
  10. Thanks! Yes, it was to rooms for two families. I will stay from 23 to 26th January and a friend of mine in the other period.
  11. No1 The above is a list a complete list of the 4*hotel amenities for the period of 01/23 to 01/26 in Central South Beach area condo that I put in the other thread because the stay is slightly different. That hotel is near the beach while the 3* is beachfront. The 3* is in Miami Beach area and I searched for 01/24 to 01/26.

  14. The transfer you mentioned was expensive. US$15.00 is the price for person, minimun 6 persons required. For 2 people you have to pay US$ 62.50.
  15. Hi Romelle! I'm also going to Istanbul and I've been searching for a good deal but I didn't find anything as good (in terms of price) as the one you got. Do you think this hotel could be yours? I would love to have the breakfast included! 4* in Sultanahmet area 05/24 to 05/29 $90 (0.0 - 1.0 mi from city center) Recommended in 90 % of Hotwire customer reviews Amenities: Free Parking, Smoke Free Rooms, High-Speed Internet Access
  16. After I've tried City Centre an Central Canals area in 5* and 4*, up to US$200.00 I decided to try that area. It's a good price if one considers that the city is almost fulled booked for this period (Queen's Day?). The best price for this hotel in booking.com (prepaid) was at least US$300.00 more for the period for each room, including the fees I paid. So we saved US$600.00 I could have started this area with less, I suppose. But it's not a bad deal, considering the circunstances and the time (that I don't have). Thanks for your help, guys, especially to Romelle. Used the PRICELINE link.
  17. Thanks once more,Romelle. It seems that something is going on in Amsterdam between 27th April to 1st May (Queens Day?) Hotels are pretty expensive. Yesterday I offered up to US$180.00 for a 5* and nothing. I also think that the Museum area must be a little out of the way and the person to whom I'm bidding doesn't like to take public transportation (don't ask me why!). So I will concentrate on city centre and central area canal. Today I will try 4*.
  18. I've seen here bids in "City Centre - Museum Quarter" but in Priceline the areas I found are: Central Area Canals, City Centre, Museum Quarter-Rai Centre and 2 other areas that I don't consider. Which area do you recommend to me to choose as a tourist? Do you know which 5* hotels I'll be able to find in each area? Thanks guys!
  19. Thanks for the information. My son is seriously considering a backpacker hostel (because of the fun, not price). Does this site have any link?
  20. Hi there! Once again I'm asking you to help me. Your advices were really important and helped me quite a lot in Boston and Philadelphia. My son (22 years old) is travaling alone to California and he will meet his cousins in San Diego. I have no idea of which area of HW (and priceline, if it's possible - but I can try to find out the correspondent area in PL) to choose. I'm looking for a nice and safe neighbourhood and if it has a night life, even better! He's traveling in the end of February (hot the weather is nice). Thank you guys!
  21. Looking for a triple room from 9/1/2012 to 14/1/2012. L'Eixample - Passeig de Gr
  22. I'll think about your suggestion, Dahammer. But, by now, I will keep my reservation, because Independent seems to be a very nice hotel (breakfast included) and I'm not happy with the idea of deciding right now for a 2* hotel. Maybe some reservations are going to be canceled later on and I can try my luck in PRICELINE.
  23. Something really huge must be going on at the begining of November in Philadelphia. Must be a Phisician Congress because the concert event will take place in the 2nd week, not in the 1st. Hotel retail prices are very high and one almost find no rooms in booking.com. As far as my biddings are concerned, my highest 3.5* was US$ 120.00 and no success! I may have to use my Independent Hotel reservation made through booking.com (sorry, found no link here) which has the average rate higher than US$170.00. Hoping that prices fall down next days.
