  1. Amenities - Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness Center, Pool, Business Center, Laundry Room & High Speed Internt 4 Persons, $179. + $25.63 = $204.63
  2. This hotel does not show the shuttle amenity but before I clicked to purchase I called them and asked if they still have from the airport and to the cruise pier and they said they did. We did have a room at the Comfort Inn Cruiseport for $50 cheaper but would far prefer the old Amerisuites as it is close to the liquor store, Outback etc. JUst more convenient.
  3. So do you think it would still be in the 17th St. area same as Amerisuites, Holiday Inn Express etc. I called the Amerisuites and they told me the Hyatt was taking them over by next spring and that is why they are more expensive then last spring. Are the other properties they are opening in the same area? BTW thanks thereuare
  4. I found a 2.5 star on Hotwire for next spring - Las Olas , Downtown , Port Everglades area for $126. I would like to try and identify it or at least narrow it down. Amenities are: Suite, complimentary breakfast, pool, laundry and High speed internet. Any help would be appreciated.
  5. My experience is that since the Canadian dollar is much stronger than a couple of years ago that the bids for low amounts are rarely accepted by the 3* and better hotels. I have not been able to get anything for a steal anymore. Just my thoughts.
  6. I could not get it to give me your $65. price for next April. The cheapest I could get it on their website is $85. It's not a hugh saving but I did check betterbidding first and you did not have any 2* hotels listed under San Francisco Fishermens Wharf area. Next time I will be sure to ask questions before bidding. I will also do my bidding through the Savingsbarn link. Thanks
  7. Bid $56 - came back and said if I added $17 to the bid I would get a hotel. I tried to only add $10 but it came back and said I had to bid $17 more - so I did. I am just happy to have a cheap hotel for our 3 nights pre-cruise. 2* Fishermens Wharf - Travelodge by the Bay - $73 per night fees $41.09 :) Anyone have any info on this hotel!!!!
  8. the 2.5* is gone as well. Guess that means no more Amerisuites either. :)
  9. No...that's why I didn't but was just curious.
  10. I just tried and can get a hotel for Mar 27/06 in downtown Fll for $57. I cannot figure out what hotel this is. It is 2*, has kitchenette and laudry icons only. Does anyone know what hotel this might be???
  11. Sorry Thereuare - didn't realize this was a new one. I bid 2.5* and said I was upgraded to a 3*. It has TV, Alarm, Business, Voice Mail, Iron, Hairdryer, 24 hr Front Desk, Restaurant and Room Service icons. I first bid $40 and was rejected and then changed bid to $42 and added a free bid zone.
  12. I just got this room for 4 night $42.00/nt + 23.92 Fees for a total of $191.92. :)
  13. I have always bid on a room with the intention of 4 people staying in it. After getting a successful bid I usually phone the hotel and ask for non-smoking and 2 beds. Only once did I encounter a problem and said they would not change. After a couple of weeks I sent a fax to the hotel requesting the 2 beds and non-smking. Just before going I called to check our reservation and sure enough we were changed to two beds. We also know that we run the risk of them not changing and in that case we would have to book another room in the hotel or make other arrangements. We always prepare for that option.
  14. Wow... I have tried to get Halifax several times over the course of the last year or so with no success. I saw that some have been getting the Westin for $40 and up so I thought I would try. I bid $40 and it said I should bid higher as rooms go for $139. So I changed my bid to $42 and surprisingly .. it was accepted. I am quite happy. 2 nights at $42. total $84.00 Fees & Taxes $16.43 Grand Total... $100.43
  15. Yes, there was a business icon. sorry, I missed that
  16. Jan 28 - Feb 01, 2005 Hotel, Suites, Airport Shuttle, Comlimentary Breakfast, Fitness Center, Golf Nearby, Lundry Facitlites, Kitchenette.
  17. I just got this hotel on Hotwire for 4 nights the end of January. $70/night $43.95 taxes & fees for total of $323.95. Anyone have any idea what this hotel is like????
  18. We won on priceline $53. total for March 29/05 car rental.
  19. I will keep you posted - I joined the starwood preferred member club and sent the Hotel a fax. I asked them to put my # on my reservation and asked them for a non-smoking room with two doubles. Will let you know what I find out.
  20. Just as a matter of interest....The Sheraton does not seem to be accomodating regarding requests for rooms. I called today to ask if we can request 2 double beds and non-smoking and they said no. We have to take what we get - Priceline is discounted and we have no choice. I realize that this is true,..... but so far every other Hotel chain we have gotten thru Priceline as been accomodating to us. Maybe I just got someone on a bad day...... I will try again.
  21. Thank you bturner... you are right ... found all the info we needed. :)
  22. I have won this hotel for our pre cruise in March, 2005. Can anyone tell me if there are any restaurants in the area , if they have a shuttle to the cruise port. On their site they have an airport shuttle - does this also go to the cruise port? Is there a liquor store nearby. I had been trying for the downtown area and accidently put in :) airport. Oh Well!!!! It's only one night.
  23. I have tried both Hotwire and Priceline for Fll downtown for March 29/05. Hotwire only lists one hotel for $320. that I am sure is the Embassy Suites. Is it too early or should I keep trying every week or so?
  24. By the way BTBurner... I see you paid $36. Do you think I should try lowering my bids. I checked last year and I got the hotel on June 01st for March .
