I did click all the way through to Trip Summary and I only saw the 4 that I listed. As far as "the last person got" I have been pretty lucky with my last 4 or 4 hotwire wins [through betterbidding] and am batting 1000! I have gotten each one that was shown that way. I did that; got what I wanted and then went on to do a second buy for the rest of the nights. I should have just used the "add on days" feature but missed seeing that until I was done. I tried your great idea about trying out the first or last night but the same listing did not show up. I tried for 2 nights, no go. Then tried 3 nights and it showed up. On Marrol's website, the best price was a 3 night stay, so was feeling a bit more confidant. At that point I figured I might as well go ahead and push the button. BINGO! It was indeed. $76 a night [with tax and fees just about $95 a night]. A savings of $100 for the 4 nights. That will buy a lot of beer! Thanks again for this great site.

Got it! Phew! I was so happy to see NJV Athens Plaza Hotel! Thanks for giving me the confidence to go ahead with the deal. ;) I checked using hotels website - their prepaid is $$593 with tax. I did bid only on 4* and used all of the "free" rebid zones ( Skokie, Midway, Midway North, Lincoln Park, Hyde Park and Franklin). I started at $62 and went up to $72. Maximum is $80 since I can use Hotwire, if that $99 4* is still around.

Thank you Aaron. I am seeing that some folks won the Hyatt Regency on PRICELINE for almost half of the $99 shown on Hotwire. I really need a hotel that has an airport shuttle and would use Priceline to save some extra $$, but I am concerned that I might get an ORD south hotel [4 *] that doesn't have shuttle. But I guess the much lower cost would make up for a taxi IF I got a hotel without shuttle. What do you think - take a chance on PRICELINE? I know how to do free rebids, so I could try low and see what happens. Thanks.

I bought this room, after seeing it listed at $60 a short while before I made my buy. I needed 2 non-consecutive nights. I took this one for $76 thinking the rate was only going to go higher. I then bought my second date, and the rate was down to $59!! I was not happy. It was for the same hotel. IF that wasn't bad enough, within 5 minutes of my booking this room, the rate dropped to $59 on this date too, for exact same listing! I called Hotwire but they would not do anything about the 2 different rates - said the had price guarantee but not for their own rates! I was very nice, explained that this made no sense that the rate switched as I was booking but was told there was nothing that could be done. I asked for a supervisor, got the same info. I understand how hotwire works, having used it more than a dozen times, you roll the dice, you take your chances. OK - just wanted to vent. Amenities: airport shuttle, fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, hi speed access.
