  1. Started bidding at C$54 in C$2 increments, until I won at C$60. Priceline Express was offering the same hotel for C$66 on these dates.
  2. Bid from C$40 at C$2 increments until I won at C$60. Priceline Express was offering the same hotel at C$66/night.
  3. The City Zone I found this in is "Airport North". Please add this to the List of Hotels for PRICELINE EXPRESS. It sounds like they have been doing renovations this month, so it will be interesting to see.
  4. After almost a week of unsuccessful multiple bidding between $40 to the upper $50's on a 3.5* hotel at the Denver Airport (i.e. the Marriott), it was accepted today at $61. I was denied at $59 so increased my bid by $2. We have stayed there twice before and enjoyed it both times. I used the PRICELINE bid - thanks!
  5. There were a few positives & negatives about this hotel. They are refurbishing some of the front, but that is far away from the rooms Positives - very nice room, a standard refurbished Marriott room and the shower had its own separate light above the tub. A large bar area at the front and there is also a pool. There was a small fridge in the room, and a nice LCD tv. Negatives - not a lot to do in the immediate area, you need to drive about 10 minutes to get a decent selection of restaurants & shopping. The staff person who I dealt with wasn't overly helpful in giving directions (just given the standard piece of paper with restaurants listed). There were no King rooms upon arrival at 5pm, only 2 double beds. Some kids ran up & down the hallway in the evening, and we were able to hear them clearly. I could also clearly hear conversations in rooms as I walked down the hallway. Overall, not too bad for $47, but I was hoping for a better experience.
  6. Fantastic! Beautiful setting, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We ended up with a King in a smoking room (there were only 2 double bed rooms left in the non-smoking areas), but they called one of the staff in to spray air freshener in our smoking room, and after that, you couldn't tell that anyone had been smoking in there. Parking was $22 for valet with in & out services. Parking was available in the lot next door for $18 with no in & out services. It is located in a great spot downtown, near lots of restaurants (we went to an Irish restaurant about 1 block south of the hotel, which was really nice). You can walk to the baseball stadium or Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in about 10-15 minutes. Highly recommended!
  7. After having a ton of unsuccessful bids in Downtown Cleveland for 3 star hotels (denied all the way up to $73), I moved out to the Airport Vicinity Area. I was denied for 3.5* hotel at $41, $43, and $45, but accepted at $47. I got: Cleveland (Airport Vicinity CLE) 3.5* Marriott for $47 - Aug 1/09 to Aug 2/09 It sounds pretty nice. I used the PRICELINE link again - thanks!
  8. My first trip to Cleveland coming up...based on the good reviews at the 3.5* Cleveland (Downtown) Hyatt Regency Arcade, I started bidding there for 7/31/09 to 8/01/09. Rejected at $25, $27, $29, $31, and $33, but finally accepted at $35 - nice! Looking forward to my stay - thanks for the assistance! I used the PRICELINE link mentioned here.
