  1. I would say this supports 'bidding in advance'! I can see, at this point, that I would only get a 2* hotel from PL for my Sept dates (9-12) for about $145+tax per night :)
  2. 2.5* New Bedford - North Dartmouth - Fairhaven Hotel $39 / night 9/5 (1 night) Retail rate is $107+tax for my date. amenities: complementary breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Tennis Nearby I was hoping it would be the H.I. in Fairhaven (as that is where we are visiting family), but it is: Best Western Dartmouth Inn 737 State Road North Dartmouth, MA, 02747
  3. I just booked this hotel for 9/5 for one night -- and the reviews are iffy, but it's one night... 2.5*, $39+tax, same icons as above. Retail rate is $107+tax for my date tho. Best Western Dartmouth Inn 737 State Road North Dartmouth, MA, 02747
  4. Sept 9-12. Apparently a VERY HIGH OCCUPANCY TIME :) I see another posting that suggests SUTTON PLACE SUITES. It has terrible reviews, so I won't risk it. Price is much too high ($169 for my dates) to risk it.
  5. I don't see any condos on the list for MTE. I am 'guessing' it is Best Western Hospitality House, but it doesn't match up with the description on the list. Hotwire shows 2* MTE w/these icons: CONDO/SUITE/STUDIO/KITCHEN/AIR CON/24 HR DESK/LAUNDRY/INTERNET Someone just got this BW in June, and it was a 3* and their posting doesn't mention 'condo'. So, is it likely the BWHH or any other guesses? Thanks :)
  6. Thanks allot -- I use PRICELINE more than HOTWIRE and wasn't aware of that as a tool :)
  7. Can you tell me why you 'thought' it was the Wynn? After reviewing the 5* hotels on the list, I got the idea that several have the same ICON list... I would LIKE to get the Venetian -- is there any way to tell? I am looking at -- 5-star hotel in Central Strip CASINO/FITNESS/POOL/RESTAURANT/BUSINESS CENTER/GOLF NEARBY/TENNIS NEARBY/SPA SERVICES Thanks :)
  8. I did search this board initially and got no results. I posted my question. Then, searching via GOOGLE, I came up with the extensive thread on this subject. Sorry if it looked like I didn't 'search' because I always try to do so :)
  9. I have three books, hence three coupons. Are they easy to use? I am thinking of booking two or three nights at one hotel, one at a time, and using one coupon per night. There isn't anyting in the T&C to prohibit this that I see. It only says "one coupon per purchase". Thanks for any adivce :)
  10. I saw that someone on TOBB had gotten almost my same dates for this price. Previous to that, I was not optimistic that my limit of $120 would work, as all the internet rates for the Stanhope are $329 for my dates :) Three days ago I was rejected at $109. Today, I bid $112 and got a "raise you bid by $22" message. I added UWS and bid $115 and GOT IT!!!! :)
  11. I'm wondering if it's the Millenium UN. I am not sure I want to have it if it is. On TOBB, there are negative reviews. I realize if I use Priceline, I have the chance to get it anyway :)
  12. I am new to trying Hotwire, but willl certainly consider it because of the info on this board. I am a frequent Priceline user. I don't see a hotel on the list that matches this, so I am checking to see if anyone familiar with NY has a clue. I have checked both April 1-April7 and March 30-April 6 (to avoid putting in my actual dates of April 1-April 6). Both times, this hotel comes up. Midtown East $145 4* Restaurant Pool Fitness Business Center Tennis Nearby Thanks for any help :)
