  1. Used your HOTWIRE link to book this one night stay at the Denver Int'l Airport here are the details: amenities shuttle no smoking complimentary breakfast fitness center pool business center high speed internet 95% of Hotwire reviews recommended this hotel $59 plus $14,86 tax - total stay $73.86 Very pleased - love this site! God bless the internet :)
  2. Thanks for your website! I did use your HOTWIRE link on this booking and will in the future as well.
  3. Okay...I went with Hotwire, 3* $45 per night with the following eight amenities: Airport Shuttle, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Laundry, High Speed Internet Won Holiday Inn - Tulsa City Center (#9 out of 75 on Trip Advisor) Hotel rate per night - Hotwire hot Rate: $45.00 Nights:1 Rooms:1 Subtotal:$45.00 Tax recovery charges and fees:$11.64 Total price:$56.64 Total charges to your credit card $56.64 I called and was confirmed for two standard queens - this result was actually better than I expected, so I am pleased.
  4. Just checked Hotwire through your link and still has 3* available with the eight ammenities listed in first post for $45. Also, the 3 1/2* hotel is still listed for $59 with the same five ammenities listed in first post. Any ideas on these properties? Am I missing the point on your posts? Thanks. I'm not sure how to move these posts to Hotwire - Oklahoma forum - is that the point?
  5. It is not imperative that I get the 4* hotel identity - I threw that in for comparison (thought it might be an easy identity with suite feature). I'd prefer to stay around $50 since it looks like there are some decent options for that price range. 3 or 3 1/2* would be fine. I would like to stay clear of the Crowne Plaza - that is probably my main concern with opaque bidding on this stay. Thanks!
  6. Any idea on these hotels on Hotwire right now? Looking for one night 8/27 for two adults in Downtown area. Crowne Plaza looks pretty rough, Doubletree would be OK. 3* Downtown Tulsa $45 *Airport Shuttle *Fitness *Smokefree *Pools *Restaurant *Business Center *Laundry Facilities *Internet 3 1/2* Downtown Tulsa $59 *Fitness *Restaurant *Business Center *Laundry Facilities *Internet Also, 4* for $108 8 ammenities - including Suite hotel Thanks!
  7. Just won through your PRICELINE link - $60 a night for Hyatt Regency in Denver downtown for two nights 7/21-7/23. It is me and my two kids, so I called the hotel immediately requesting two double beds and they said that is what I was down for and it should not be a problem. Obviously, we were prepared to work with other options but this was preferred - so we are pleased. Rate for this room is $209 on the website. Parking is $18 per day. Have had great success thanks to better bidding - share with all my traveling friends. Thanks! :)
  8. For May 5 one night, need for three adults. Hotwire shows one 3* hotel for $213 per night with these 6 amenities. Boutique Near Beach Fitness Pool Tennis nearby Spa services Any idea on property? Thanks!
  9. Okay, had to build up my confidence for the rebidding - but got it done :) We won the Westin for $80 per night (2 nights with tax 192.42) which is ranked #15 out of 84 hotels in Philadelphia on Priceline. Great location for what we need, so we are pleased. Thanks so much for your helpful suggestions. (Used your PRICELINE link by the way.)
  10. Can you give me an idea of which hotel looks like it's on HOTWIRE - my preference would be going to a higher rated hotel for a similar amount. Thanks!!!
  11. Really if we get a room for around $90 plus tax per night that would be grand! If due to the timing we need to go up from there we can. The rate at the Marriott that weekend will be $199/nt - would like to pay that for both nights (before tax). Also, I would appreciate some bidding strategy - have yet to do more than one bid per night 4* downtown at $70. I need to make a some movement to see a little more action. Would love to get these reservations settled. I appreciate your comments!
  12. Bid $70 again on 4* downtown Philadelphia - rejected. Will try again tomorrow.
  13. Update on our plans for NYC. I've noticed the Monday night rate jumps up from the Sunday night rate considerably. We are currently booked at the Hampton Inn Times Square North for these nights - cancellable reservations with rates as follows. There are three adults - so we were looking for either two rooms (to ensure enough beds) or as with this hotel - two queen beds would work out nicely. Rates: 5/9 - 234.10 5/10 - 284.05 $590.10 Please post any suggestions or comments you may have to improve our first time visit to the big Apple. Thanks!
  14. Good Morning Yellowdog, I read up on the rebidding thread you linked and it helped refresh me...thanks :) I am now comfortable with the rebidding zones in the Philly area. I'll try again later today, through your PRICELINE link and post my results. We have three adults staying in the NYC area on May 9 & 10. The only way I'd use PRICELINE is if I booked two rooms, to guarantee enough beds. I have a cancellable reservation at the Hampton Inn Timesquare North right now - not great rates, but two queen beds and great location. Tips? Thanks!
  15. Help please! I am bidding on 4* Philadelphia downtown zone and need to know my rebid zones for sure - I have looked at your hotel lists, but cannot seem to navigate to a previous thread on the topic... I just bid $70 on downtown, 2 nights 5/7-5/9 and was rejected. Thanks for your website :)
  16. I am open to suggestions. I would not want to limit our options by staying at $125 - we will bid up higher in order to have two rooms and staying in nice location/hotel. My best thought on budget would be total of $600 for two nights/two rooms including fees, etc. although if this is unrealistic, please let me know. I have a cancellable reservation for 2 nights 1 room of almost $300 with taxes and fees. I am open to any zone that would be close to get around town and safe. Thanks
  17. I have been using this website for booking now for over a year with much success - so, first I want to say thanks for all your wonderful information - you've saved me lots of $ and we've enjoyed great hotels. NYC is a little more intimidating to me and I don't have the time to spend researching all the options. We will be arriving on Sunday, 5/9 and need two nights. There are three adult women, so most likely we will want to bid for two rooms to ensure enough beds...it'll be nice to have two bathrooms as well. We will be doing the usual tourist highlights. Arriving and leaving through Penn Station. Broadway play, harbor cruise, etc. I would like 4* and wb willing to pay up to $250 for both rooms per night. Need great location, clean and comfortable beds. Can you help me with bidding strategy with zones and amounts? Thanks for your expert advice!

  20. Priceline - $50 accepted for 8/28-8/29 one night at the 3* Marriott Courtyard in Quail area (NW135th & May). Bid $45 on 3* for Quail area rejected; bid $50 for 3 1/2* adding North area and accepted. Total is approx $63 with taxes and fees. Room rate on website is starting at $109. Savings of $59 - thanks to betterbidding for all the information!
  21. Just accepted - $105 (bid from $80 with $5 increments) for Seattle, Hyatt at Olive 8 for 10/21-10/24. We would have stopped at $105 and tried later. Trip Advisor shows gives overall good reviews here - and we're won the Sheraton on our last leg of the trip so it'll be nice to try both locations. Overall pleased with our Priceline experience. Would not have taken the chance without the information we found here - thanks!
  22. Thanks to all the great information on this website - I just received the Hyatt Place for $35/nt for one night 8/13/09. Total with fees/taxes was ~ $47. Their website is currently offering rates starting at $123 for this room. Taking my daughter back to school shopping - so this will be more to spend on clothes. Yea!
  23. Priceline (using BB's link, thanks!) -we received the Sheraton for 2 nights 10/25-27 for $100/nt. Started bidding at $70.
