  1. I just got the Desert Springs A JW Marriott Resort and Spa Palm Desert for April 7-9 for $150/night. It says I saved 54%. I'm not sure that this is a great deal, but am very happy with it. Thanks again for all of the help!!
  2. We needed a room for 7-22-09 through 7-23-09 in Vegas and wanted a 5* hotel on the strip. This is what our bidding looked like: 5* North Strip vacinity $55 rejected added a category w/o a 5* 60 rejected added a category w/o a 5* 65 rejected added a category w/o a 5* 70 rejected added a category w/o a 5* 75 rejected added a category w/o a 5* 85 rejected added a category w/o a 5* 90 was accepted And I used the BB Links to get to PRICELINE.
  3. I made one bid, based on what I learned from other bidders on better bidding and then used the PRICELINE link that I found on another post and this is what I came up with. I won a one night room at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa for 85 with taxes and service fees of 19.41 so my total was 104.41. Rates are listed on their website for 229 for the night we have it reserved. I definitely did not research as much as I should have, I did not realize this resort was in the area, but I will let you know if my wife and enjoyed our stay. Thanks Better Bidding for everything, you definitely make the bidding much easier!
  4. After researching on better bidding I made a bid (through Savings Barn) at PriceLine for $45 3* Inland Empire (Ontario) and won on my first try. Thanks for the Help Better Bidding, and I hope that this can help as well. -schur
  5. I am willing to pay pretty much whatever. I was hoping to pay under 200 though.
  6. I forgot to add that this is for April 7, 2007 and is just for one night. I am sorry about the mixup!
  7. I am looking at booking a hotel for my wedding night, before we fly out on our honeymoon and was hoping to get the Hyatt at Huntington Beach...any advice as to how I might be sure to get that, while staying on a tight budget? Thanks
  8. I am planning for my upcoming wedding and have been needing to find rooms for the family that is coming out. I started bidding in this location for 64 and then bid 69, 71, 73, and finally won with a bid of $75. You will notice that I put down that I won with 1 room and three rooms. I had to bid in two seperate credit cards, one in which we only needed 1 room and the other with 3 rooms. I won both times with a bid of $75. I could not find the 4* hotel on hotwire and only could find that the average room price for the hotel is $219. I feel as though we got a great deal on this one. I also am proud to say that I used SavingsBarn for these reservations!!!!
  9. This trip had to be cancelled...again I appreciate your help and insights. Is there a recommendation as to a time in which I could find rates more in the price line of 100-150 for a 5 star on the strip?
  10. I apologize for having not finished my previous posting. I have gone back and updated it. I ran into some problems within my family and had to cancel the previous trip.
  11. I am sorry to have not updated this posting. I actually cancelled this trip due to a family situation. I appreciate your help and again apologize for the cancelling of this trip. Thanks
  12. I am needing to book a hotel for May 19-and departing May 21. I am hoping to stay on the strip and am willing to spend at most 150. Is there any chance I could stay at the Venetian this weekend for this rate? Are there any good deals going on right now for the strip? Thanks for your help!!!
  13. Well, I had stayed before at the Venetian for $99, so I thought that it would be possible to find something like that. But I totally understand if that is not possible. Do you have any recommendations for me in that price range?
  14. I prefer on the strip, but am looking for the best deal. I would prefer a 4 or 5 star.
  15. Hello friends at Better Bidding!!! I am needing to be in Vegas from April 25-27, needing a hotel for the 25th and 26th. I am on a very tight budget and was looking for some advice before I put in a priceline bid. If you could give me some ideas as to what I might get for around 75 or what would be a good price to quality ratio. Thanks again!! :)
  16. I got this one on my first try. The total with taxes and everything comes up to $77...so truly a great deal. Thanks to better bidding I knew exactly what to bid. Thanks friends!! Hyatt Regency at the Crown Center Bid of $60 accepted +$17 in taxes total $77
  17. I am sorry about that. I totally didn't realize that there were two Hyatts within that one region. After checking it out, it is the NewPort Beach Hyatt. So I am a little disappointed, but it still looks rather nice. The address for the hotel is definitely in Newport Beach, and I just didn't even check that before. Thanks for calling my attention to that!
  18. After several attempts, starting at $40, I finally was able to get the Renaissance Montura Hotel at LAX with a bid of $65-total with tax and fees-$81.79. I have never stayed here before, but will definitely let you know what it is like. Thanks BetterBidding community for your help!
  19. Do you have any ideas as to what it might cost to get the Hilton on that day?
  20. I just wanted to let you know that I was able to get the Venetian for $99. I tried to get it at 79, 83, 85, 88, 90, 93, 97, 98, and then got it for $99. Thank you for your help and I hope that this can help someone else who is looking for a short stay in Vegas. oh, and I booked it through savingsbarn :)
  21. I had really been struggling today to find a decent price on hotels I thought and actually have been trying to get this Hyatt since mid-week last week. I started bidding at 79, then 81, 83, 86, and finally got it for $88/ night. So the whole package deal was $206 for two nights-a great deal!! I just wanted to add, that what worked best for me was researching the areas under NewPort/Huntington that didn't have 4* Hotels, so I could just keep trying different amounts, not worrying about getting something I didn't really want. I hope that this is able to help.
  22. I have been trying to get the Hilton LAX and have been rather unsuccessful. I need it just for Monday night, June 27 and have tried three different offers. I have noticed that others where able to get it for right around 41, but I have been unable to get it even for $46. I was just wondering if I was doing something wrong or what is the deal?
  23. Thank you for the replies. To make sure that I understand, you think that the best price I could get for the venetian is $99? Because I am really working on a tight budget, but would like to stay at something kind of nice.
  24. I am not really sure how this whole messaging system works, but I am looking to spend one night in Vegas on June 22 and was really hoping to stay at the Bellagio. What I am curious about or hoping to use your resources for is finding out what the best rate would be on that stay. So I am looking for a one night stay at the Bellagio on June 22, 2005-I would like to have a decent room, but am not sure how much of a choice I have in that. To be honest, I am a recent college grad and am just on my way through so I don't have a ton of money, but would really like to experience the Bellagio. I also am rather new to all of this, but think that this is an awesome system and am eagar to find out more about it. Thanks schur
  25. This is my first post, so I am not quite sure what I am doing...but I what I do know is that I got two rooms at the Hilton by the LA airport for $46 a night. That is a 3 star hotel. I am not sure if I could have gotten them cheaper or not. But here is a benchmark. Thanks, for the help and best of luck in the future!!!
