Booked this hotel thinking I was getting a 4 star on the Hotel and won the Crowne Plaza that you have listed as a 3.5 star. Oh well.... Still a good deal for a one night stay. Total price for both rooms with fees and taxes $208.73. I forgot to write down the amenities listed before I bought. Stay was great. Front desk staff were very friendly. Warm cookies in the lobby. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. VERY close to the airport! Maybe 5 min drive.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt. The beds were comfortable and the location was great for our visit to see the Capital. I want to warn other bidders that parking at this hotel is $45! I was stunned! I expected around $30. We arrived too late at the hotel to use a self parking lot nearby. The front desk clerk felt sorry for me and gave us breakfast vouchers for all of us to enjoy the buffet. A very nice gesture and the breakfast was GREAT!

The "hotel" is actually a motel with the doors facing outward. I was disappointed when we drove up as it looked pretty dated. But since my Hotwire bid was not refundable, we took a chance with the room. What a pleasant surprise! The room was BRAND NEW! New bedding, carpet, granite counter tops, flat screen TV, small fridge, microwave and immaculately clean. We slept fine and headed back on the road in the morning. I don't think that it merits a 3 star rating for the whole facility, but the room was excellent. Breakfast was not appealing to us at all. Standard self serve fare, but cold eggs and sausage that you microwaved yourself didn't appeal to us. Others might like it fine. It was free though... I booked using your site HOTWIRE link. We are traveling to Birmingham to tour UAB with my high school daughter. I was hoping to get the Drury Inn because it has great reviews on Trip Advisor. The only difference between Drury Inn and La Quinta in your list is "business facilities". We got La Quinta. I am a bit disappointed. Their website price is $69. A $17 savings doesn't seem big enough... Oh well, I hope the stay is OK. I just booked the Sheraton in Birmingham for $73 per night for our overnight stay 5/8/10 - 5/9/10. The hotel is listed as Central Birmingham with the following features: Non-Smoking Fitness Pool Restaurant This hotel is adjacent to the BJCC in downtown Birmingham. We've stayed here before. The beds are very comfortable. Not much to eat or do near the hotel.

June 25 - 29, 2009 2 Adults and 2 Kids $96 per night Grand Total for 4 nights $436.18 Amenities: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Golf, Tennis, Spa I was somewhat concerned about the reviews on TripAdvisor saying that the spa pool area is loud at night. I called the hotel directly and they assured me that they could place us in a room away from the spa pool (which is turned into a night club in the summer time). FYI - She said that they have 2 pools and the large pool is not used as a club. It is sometimes rented for private parties, but when that happens the Spa Pool is open for hotel guests and is not used as a club. Just thought your readers might want to know since the last 2 TripAdvisor reviews complained about this. Thanks for your help!!!
