Just booked this 3.5* hotel on hotwire. Not quite what I was expecting but still much cheaper than the Expedia rate. Don't see any other reference in previous posts for this hotel through Hotwire.

I am not sure if I have discovered something that is already known/posted. If you are searching for a hotel on Hotwire run two parallel searches. For the same set of dates check out the hotel only and hotel+car.
The search for the hotel plus car rental lists all the hotels and amenities. It is then pretty easy to match up which hotel you will be bidding on for the hotel only search based on matching the amenities. Just tried it for booking a hotel in Los Angles. The hotel names and amenities on the hotel+car rental listings (names listed) seems to exactly match the hotel only listings (names hidden).
I just recent returned from two nights in Bellevue. Booked the nights on separated dates so landed up with two separate hotels.

2) night two at Coast for $42
Check-In Date: Sun, Mar 27, 2005
Check-In Time: After 03:00 PM
Check-Out Date: Mon, Mar 28, 2005
Check-Out Time: 12:00 PM
Your Offer Price: $42.00
Number of Rooms: 1
Number of Nights: 1
Subtotal: $42.00

$13.34
Total Charges: $55.34
Although both hotels are rated 3 stars there is a dramatic difference in quality. The Hyatt had an infinately nicer room and better location. Not that there was anything wrong with the Coast; just compared to the Hyatt, the Coast was not in the same league, especially given that the price was almost the same.

Just got back from my trip. The hotel is a good deal at under $50 per night but I wouldnt suggest paying much more than this. It is in the lower tier of airport hotels. The room was clean but small. The pool area was actually quite nice for such a small hotel. The free wireless internet access was a nice bonus as was the free airport shuttle. If you get bored waiting for the hotel shuttle just hop on the much more frequent Budget car rental shuttle which takes you right across the road.
Tried bidding for a 4* hotel but once I reached my budget of $60 per night stopped. Lowered my bid to $40 for a 3*. Was offered a chance to increase my bid by $9. Rebid at $44 and got the room.
Had a feeling I would land up with this hotel. Lots of mixed reviews but couldnt find anything close to that price so willing to accept a place that might be a little rough around the edges.
Great site. Has helped me learn a lot about priceline.
Was looking for 3* at LAX. Once I reached $45 was offered a chance to increase my bid by $13. Raised bid to $49 and added West Hollywood zone. Offer was accepted.
