  1. 3/1/10 - 3/5/10 $52 through Hotwire Room was ok, furniture and carpet dated and stained / banged up. 6th floor room facing the highway, some noise from cars and planes, but not terribly so. Internet free if you sign up for the free rewards program. The only major complaint was some droning noise that went on day and night. Even with earplugs and a pillow over your ears you can't escape it. It's like some big machinery running. Wasn't the AC or the ice / soda machine next door, didn't change when open door or window. Was louder in the room than in the hallway. The was some sort of utility building under my window, so there was probably some sort of generator running in it. Guess they stick you in the crappiest room when buying cheap. I'll be back there next week and try to get a better room.
  2. San Jose, CA - Milpitas The Beverly Heritage Hotel is now 4* (up from 3*).
  3. According to Priceline, both Kihei and Kahului don't have resorts, so that gives you some more rebid options. Maui Prince is $188 per night on Hotwire for your dates. Looks like your high bid is $115 so far, but you said your limit is $150 ? Might have to go higher than $115, it's a busy time on HI.
  4. Stayed here 6/1/09-6/5/09. Clean, nice looking property. Got a corner room at the far end of the property, big bathroom, mini fridge, wireless internet included, plenty of parking. Only problem was the gate adjacent to my room, leading out into the parking lot. squeek-squeek-squeek........squeek-squeek-BANG!!!!!! at least until midnight, then starting again at 5 am. Having the hotel laundry room right across the hallway didn't help, either. Would stay here again, but you couldn't pay me to stay in a room near one of the gates.
  5. Did I do it right this time? I went through PRICELINE every time I refreshed.
  6. Currently staying here, and I'm not impressed, from the greeting "I see your room is prepaid...", to the overpriced restaurant and room service (18% gratuity plus $3 delivery automatically added), to having to shell out $9.99 per day for internet (slow internet at that). Was given a 2 double bed room, King or Queen all sold out according to the snooty kid that checked me in. hilton.com disagreed, but I wasn't going to fight with the guy. Tripadvisor gloated over free Fiji water - not in my room. Unfortunately I couldn't pick up any free outside wifi signal from my room. Parking is free and location is convenient, so it's not a total bust at $63. Ridiculous at the $189 hilton.com wanted. Oh, pushing the channel change button on the tv remote, it takes a solid 3 seconds to change from one channel to the next. I know, I'm spoiled.
