  1. Last minute bid HOLIDAY INN which used to be 2.5 - apparently now it is a 3 *
  2. Plus taxes and fees of 37.49 - total for 6 nights $296. Just stayed here on another priceline stay and was very impressed with the friendly staff and prompt response to requests. Rooms are nice enough and decor is quite nice (much nicer than the run down Concord Hotel!).
  3. Actually bid on this about 6 weeks ago, tried again for later dates but couldn't get same rate now.
  4. Attempted 4 star walnut/concord 55 up to 65 but no luck. Mistake on my part I thought there was no 3 star in Pleasanton so thought I was getting a free rebid - NOT Total cost including fee of $20 made it cost about the same as the lowest rate booked directly $59 plus 8% tax prepaid - and I would have received Starwood points and benefits :)
  5. I'm currently at the Holiday Inn on Diamond (Concord) on a $45 priceline stay (posted on priceline forum)- this hotel is a 2.5* on priceline). Interestingly while I was at the desk to ask a question I saw a fax for a same day reservation via Hotwire for 2 nights saying to bill Hotwire $110 - so my guess would be this is the hotel I was asking about before.
  6. Bid for 2.5* for 11/1 2 nights hoping to get Holiday Inn - upgraded to 3* Concord Hotel and Conference Center. Strangely enough I couldn't bid for a 2.5* for one night for 10/31 for 72 hours, but was able to bid for 3* and got the same hotel.
  7. Got this a few months ago on another stay for 45- thought I might get it for a little less but couldn't seem to get it for 42 or 43! $16 taxes and service total 106 - lowest rate on web site was $84 for state govern - and I think around 99 "best rates"
  8. Dates are Nov 1-5 - comes up as $55 (but also for many other dates). The interesting thing is that consistently there is a 2 * offered for 89 for the same dates - amenities are listed with kitchenette and self-serve laundry. Can't figure this one out!
  9. Does anyone know what hotel this would be? Amenities are listed as restaurant, pool, fitness center Thanks
  10. yes this is Central zone (although that zone is quite large)
  11. Bid night before so only had one bid. Prev. had gotten Mercure Stoller for 71, so just gave it a shot and got a MUCH better hotel (even though PL rates them the same Michelan doesn't and they are right).
  12. Bid a few weeks in advance. Cost during the week seem higher than week end. Bid last minute for Sunday and got different hotel - Sofitel - posted separately. SORRY forgot to put name in header- MERCURE STOLLER
