winning bit $81 4/15-4/16, 2016 The Westin and the Le Meridien have appeared as 4.5* on Hotwire but now are rated 4*. The Westin get 95% rating with Free parking.

I'm very happy with this hotel. There are two 4.5 hotels in this Zone: Westin Galleria and le Meridien. I've stayed at both many times. In the amenities list the Westin has FREE PARKING and is a nicer hotel in my opinion Thanks D

I had an overnight at DFW and bid last minute for 4* DFW North hoping for one of the DFW Hyatts or perhaps the Westin. I don't like gimmicky, huge, theme-park, convention hotels so I was less than thrilled when I won the Gaylord. This hotel is not that close or convenient to DFW, especially with all the construction on 114 and 121. I ended up renting a car which is rather time consuming at dfw but having previously eaten at the Gaylord (I didn't want to make that mistake again) I wanted more options. I know there are a lot of people that find this type of hotel appealing but I don't. The room was dated typical Marriott, the bed was TERRIBLE Valet parking was expensive, the lobby was a loud zoo of people with lots of kids and long lines. I've bid the DFW North zone MANY times happily winning one of the Hyatts or one of the Westin. Only twice was I relegated to the Hilton of which i'm not a fan. But now with the Gaylord in the zone I will, unfortunately, have to look for other options.

4* Galveston East was not available when we tried to book. We clicked the PRICELINE link and bid $169 on 3.5* for friday 5/15 and got the Galvez (yay). We wanted to extend it through monday but sat night was not available. We then bid $79 on 3.5 for sunday 5/17 and received the Galvez. So we hope a room will become available for sat. Thanks so much for your help. dan

I would like to book the Hotel Galvez for 5/15/09 to 5/17/09. I see that in previous posts the Galvez was a 3.5 Star. Since the Tremont won't re-open until June is it a safe bet that the Galvez is now considered a 4 Star? The price for the 4 Star is $169. thanks
