  1. I was uncertain whether to start a new thread or not for my update. Thanks AaronJB for mentioning that rates fluctuated during the dates I originally wanted to book for Chicago. After a whole lot of bidding and rejections on PRICELINE, our bid of $96 for a 4 1/2 star was accepted at the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower (6/30-7/2). I'm pleased with the result. For the other nights, we decided not to use an opaque site since there was a specific hotel we wanted to try. We linked through this portal to make the PRICELINE reservation. Thanks for the help.
  2. Thanks for the replies. You are right, the rate is no longer available on HOTWIRE's site. I'm so curious which hotel it was. Anyways, plenty of time for me to continue shopping.
  3. I checked the area lists for Hotwire in Chicago and can't find this exact zone name "Downtown Chicago - Millennium Park - Grant Park." Rate $111. 6/26-7/2. I think this might be the Palmer House Hilton but am not certain. Any help would be appreciated. Recommended by 90% of Hotwire Customers. 4. A little more than I wanted to spend but I've been bidding for several days w/o success. I think rates are likely more expensive for July 1st because of the long weekend. In the end, I'm pleased with this hotel and the location. I've stayed here before and its very nice.
  5. A few things I appreciate are: 1. a bottle opener in the room. I remember being in NYC and after buying a case of nice cold beer there was not a bottle opener/corkscrew to be found in the room. I called to the front desk and they would send one up for a charge of $10. I've since learned to always carry a bottle opener when I travel. 2. Nice body wash, shampoo products in the bathroom. I go ga-ga over l'Occitane or Evelyn & Crabtree. Bliss isn't bad either. 3. Fluffy robes. 4. Plastic cups covered in saran wrap. I know its sounds cheesy but I've seen many of those "hidden camera" expos
  6. Thank you Beav for the information about this site. Have many people used this site to book hotel stays? I had never heard of it before and don't want to book and then have any problems when we arrive. I used Priceline many times after learning about it on this site and I have been pleased. I just want to ensure that lastminutetravel has a good reputation from users. Thanks.
  7. The hotel is in the Hartsfield Airport (ATL) North zone.
  8. I was surprised to get this hotel since I didn't see it on the list of Priceline Hotels for Atlanta Airport. I'm pleased with the result and the price. I included all three Atlanta airport regions in my winning bid so I don't know which region this hotel falls under. I used the PRICELINE link on your homepage to book.
  9. After many bids on Priceline we lucked out with this hotel. Although I hoped to spend less, in the end I'm happy with the result. I used the PRICELINE link on the Better Bidding homepage to book the hotel. Sorry I just realized I posted this in the wrong area and I can't delete. The dates for our stay are 8/31/2010 to 9/4/2010. Please move post to the right location.
  10. Sorry, I should have been more clear in my original post. The Delta Beaus
  11. Our first bid of $60 was rejected. We selected Moncton only for the location. Resubmitted immediately with a bid of $64 by adding Dieppe to our geographic span and bid was accepted for the Beaus
  12. I've always wanted to stay at this hotel. I used the PRICELINE link on your homepage to book. Thanks for this helpful website.
  13. Atlantica Halifax seems to be the new name for the Holiday Inn in Halifax (Robie St at Quinpool). I looked at the pic on their exterior on their website.
  14. I've stayed at the Moncton Crowne Plaza before (and the Residence Inn and the Beaus
  15. First bid accepted at $61. Thanks again for the useful information on this site!
  16. What a great deal! First bid of $55 rejected. Revised my 2nd bid by including both Moncton and Dieppe in the geographic area of my search. My bid of $61 was accepted. This is really great (I rarely get deals). Thanks so much for this very useful site!
