  1. Hello all, Any guess on which of the 4* hotels this refers to? Magnificent Mile North - Water Tower area hotel 4* 3/22-3/24 for US$150 (4-person room) (vs $287 "other sites") Short Amenities: Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access Long Amenities: Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower Recommended in 75% of Hotwire customer reviews Didn't see the 75% recommendation in the list of Hotwire hotels - guessing that might narrow things down considerably. Any input appreciated. Thanks! (Edited based on AaronJB's inpu)
  2. You're safe with MTE - it's a 5-10 minute jog or $5 cab ride to Central Park.
  3. HOTWIRE has what looks to be the Intercontinental Barclay for $153+. That would be a decent 4* option.
  4. Having similar trouble for 4/24-4/26 - no luck for a 4* at $155 for anything between CPS and ESB. Note that W on Lex has a $199 deal on a couple of websites - that may end up being the best offer, with no risk of hotel lotto...
  5. First bid at $29 was rejected. Tried again today with $36 and was also rejected. Added "Sand Lake Corporate Park" for the fee re-bid and came in at $39 for the win. Might have won at $37 or $38, but at that point it doesn't really matter. Used the BetterBidding PRICELINE link to initiate the session - thanks for the great service!
  6. Used zones to bid up from $75 and $80. Success at $85.
  7. Not a lot options/deals for Central Coast. Bid at $40 was rejected with invitation to go at $52. Not really a deal, since it only comes out to $2 savings from hotel's web rate once taxes & fees are added. Next time staying in this area I would probably book directly with a hotel.
  8. $65 bid for Carmel was rejected, but it came back with an offer at +$17. Added Monterey, re-bid at $75 and won. Thanks!
  9. No bites at $85, so upped it to $95 and got in. Best pre-paid price on the hotel website was $211. Thanks!
  10. PRICELINE wasn't biting at that level, so went with HOTWIRE for $89. Stayed at this Embassy Suites last year - decent and well-maintained, if unspectacular, location. Hilton website is offering $188 pre-paid. Amenities: Complimentary Breakfast Pool Restaurant High-speed Internet access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby
