  1. Used the Priceline link from BB. Got 4* Sheraton for Friday night. $85 1st try. Based my price on what others won bids for. In Beach Area. It should be nice.
  2. Got this 4 star on $80 shot. Riviera Hotel in South Beach Central Area I was not hitting on the 4.5 stars-5 stars starting off at $75-$79 for Miami South Beach Area Central then tried to 4-star at $80 for 1 night.
  3. The Rio use to be one of the best Bang for the Buck Deals w/ the big rooms and no resort fees. Just stayed there 10/13 and now to find out it's $20/night RESORT FEE. Very Disappointing.
  4. Used PRICELINE link from BB and other poster's guide to based my bid. Got $175/night 5 nights $1016 Read up no resort fee at this hotel.
  5. Seems like a busy weekend for some reason, and I started bidding from 5 star down to 4 stars in different areas. Got the Priceline $20 Bonus so $5 added to my bid price of $61 becomes $66 Offered for 4 nights Oct 20-24. I've stayed here before and I remember a great Steakhouse in this Hotel and NO RESORT FEE.
  6. As usual, used the PRICELINE link on BB . First time visiting Niagra Falls area & Buffalo and started copying the previous bids , starting at $34 on PRICELINE all the way to $55 and end up getting 3*(formerly 3.5) Hyatt Regency Hotel address: Two Fountain Plaza Buffalo, NY 14202 Fairly satisfied esp compared to HOTWIRE prices for same hotel that has a 85% customer satisfaction (Hotwire).
  7. Used the HOTWIRE link from BB site for a friend and narrowed down the search for best bang for the buck for 3.5 star in the area. Ended up with Crown Plaza Silicon Valley. Anemities Included: Shuttle Fitness Center Pool Restaurant Business Center Hi-Speed Internet.
  8. Not sure if Resort Fee price changed for Palazzo in Las Vegas, but I got charged $19.04/day for 6/12/10-6/14/10 stay. Was $17/day or is that tax on top of the $17 that makes it $19.04. Two bucks is no biggie as it's one of the best and most spacious hotel rooms in Vegas.
  9. Started bid @ $50 hoping to get 3.5* Hilton in Convention Area. Moved up $1 at a time starting (changing to areas w/out 3.5 star hotels) and got The Renaissance hotel: 3400 Paradise Rd for 1 night stay Fri night 6/11-6/12. I can't complain, no hidden Resort Fee. Stayed there before, nice place but one will need a rental car which I already got. BTW, Yes, I did use the PRICELINE link through betterbidding.com. :)
  10. I was bidding on a 3.5 star and was hoping to get the LV Hilton or bumped up to The Rennaissance (4*) in Convention area but ended up w/ Marriot Suites. I didn't realize this hotel moved up to a 3.5 star. What's done is done, at least they don't charge a BS resort fee. For Thurs-Mon stay Sept 17-21, 2009 Marriott Suites 325 Convention Center Drive Las Vegas, Nevada 89109 & Yes, I used the PRICELINE link from BetterBidding.com :)
  11. Yes, there was Business Icon also. BTW, that is one classy hotel. And I've stayed at many 5-star hotels in Vegas before, this one is up there w/ it & the location was walking distance to Gaslamp also. Only negative the $21 parking/day.
  12. Just booked this morning, last minute decision and headed to SD for the day 8/29/09. Amenities included: Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness, Pool, Hi-Speed, Restaurants.
  13. Hotwire is the way to go if you want those specific hotels. ***MAKE SURE*** when you choose anemities, that it has a CASINO symbol, 5-star, in CENTER STRIP. If you don't choose the casino symbol, you'll end up getting the dreaded TRUMP International. Good Luck!
  14. Used the PRICELINE link from betterbidding and got 4-star Rennaissance for Fri night 8/14/09 $55+tax=$69.40. I was bidding and hoping to get 3.5 Star LV Hilton but I can't complain if you get bumped up to 4-star. I should have looked at other wins on this board to realize I probably could have gotten it for $50/night but oh well, what's done is done. At least it's not the Westin which charges additional $15 resort fee for their tiny a** pool. When I say tiny, I mean TINY!
  15. Got 5* Wynn for Sat 8/15/09 stay. :) $149+17.14(tax)= $166.14 for Sat Night Stay only Anemities Include: Casino, Pool, Fitness, Restaurant, Golf, Tennis, Spa, Business
  16. Going "Low Budget" this time after 3 weekends in Vegas last month. :) Got Kings Inn- San Diego for Fri night only $35/night. 1333 Hotel Circle South, SD 92108 Supposedly it's close to Seaworld which we're going to for a day.
  17. Hotwire says "East Of Strip" I've searched the betterbidding Hotel list for Hotwire but could not find a match with these Amenities for East of Strip or Near East of Strip. Thanks In Advanced!
  18. 3* East of Strip w/ these anemities: Casino Pool Restaurants Business Center High-Speed Internet Listed for $39 on Hotwire for those weekend dates Thanks.
  19. "Balling on A Budget" this time. Was already in Vegas May 1-3, now May 15-17, and will be there May 29-31. "West of Strip" side was checked only, hoping to get Gold Coast or The Orleans. It didn't happen. Started bid @ $40 and move up dollar by dollar to $45 for 3-star. Got the Marriott Courtyard Las Vegas South 5845 Dean Martin Dr.
  20. Amenities that were listed for Palazzo when purchased were: Resort, Suite, Casino, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurants, Business Center, High-Speed Interent Access, Spa Services
  21. Booked for a friend of mine that will be staying there Fri 5/15. They had previously booked Monte Carlo 3.5* for $150/night. They booked directly w/ Monte Carlo and now can cancel w/out any fees. I told them I can pretty much narrow it down (Thanks BetterBidding) what you will get and said I was 90% certain for $165 w/ the anemities listed it was the Palazzo. The Suite Icon, and Casino kinda gave it the edge it was Palazzo and not Trump (yuck). Yup, I did use the HOTWIRE link from BetterBidding on the upper left hand corner! :)
  22. Stayed there Fri & Sat May 1-3, 2009. I would rate it probably a 3.5 Star. Nice and cosy. Rooms were OK. Beds & comforters were nice. Customer service was EXCELLENT. Parking very close to hotel. Close to Center Strip. Right next to Bill's Gambling Hall & Saloon (for the late night partyers who like Drai's). Also across the street from Bally's and same side street as Flamingo. Caesar's Palace was on other side of Las Vegas Blvd. Very convenient if you go down Flamingo to Rio or The Palms or Gold Coast. Let's you avoid the strip and those meters running up on the cabs. Pool was small... very small. Pool bar closed at 3pm. Casino was small and actually very cozy. Lots of pilots came through. Must be the hotel that the airlines have them stay over. Got the Priceline counter offer @ $110/night and took it. Also add $15 resort fee per day. Make use of the unlimited water. I just tipped the guy that brought it up and got a whole case of 24 bottles. We drank it all! It was a busy weekend, Fight weekend (Manny Pacquiao @ Hatton) so every hotel in Vegas price was off the charts.
  23. Thanks All. I ended up getting a GOOD deal on Priceline instead (Posted in Priceline section) Got 4* Planet Hollywood @ $62 5/3-5/6 Sun-Wed. It's in a better location IMO. And upgraded half a *. :)
  24. Got this for my father. Used the link from BetterBidding.com for Priceline dates 5/3-5/6/09 and signed in and got the $5 Bonus. Put in 1st bid in 4* South Strip area @ $55+$5(Priceline Reward)=$60 got denied Added in North Strip kept 4* and moved up to $57+$5(Priceline Reward)= $62 and got a WINNING BID! Bonus Cash Per Room, Per Night: $5.00 Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $57.00 Total Offer Price Per Room, Per Night with Bonus: $62.00 Total Charges to your Credit Card Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $57.00 Subtotal: $171.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $28.25 Total Charges*: $199.25
