Just to pile on, you're MUCH better off with the IC than some of the other "5" star hotels you could have won in the immediate vicinity (e.g., Sheraton Park Lane). It's a great property albeit modernistic looking from the outside. The only thing I dislike about it is the breakfast is insanely expensive. There's a great place to get breakfast a couple blocks up Picadilly toward the Circus called "Henry's" with very reasonable prices.

With your dates you're butting up against London Fashion Week (September 18-22) and a lot of people stay in the Mayfair area. That could skew your results here.

I was able to get your 3* Notting Hill Bayswater to come up for that date at $85 by changing the search request to 1 adult 1 child rather than 2 adults. You might give that a try as I have found that to work -- for London hotel searches, anyway -- to "force" the system to offer me a different hotel in the same zone.

As noted in my separate Hotwire Purchase, this is in fact the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel.

Amenities listed as restaurant, business center and fitness center. As noted in another post I suspected this was the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel with amenities revised (used to be listed as retaurant only). I decided to take a winger on it as there is a rock concert in Hyde Park that weekend and the IC was coming up at over $300 (and other hotel sin the area had big increases from last week's pricing as well). I am OK with it although certainly not my first choice of hotel in the area.

I'm very interested in the identity of this hotel so if you do book it, please advise what you end up with. I am suspicious that it could be the Sheraton Park Lane with revised amenities because, although I see that someone else did get the Sheraton a few weeks ago with only "restaurant" listed, the Sheraton does have both a fitness center and a business center per its own website. This seems to be the main 5* hotel coming up in this zone right now, at least for me. I can "force" Hotwire to offer the IC Park Lane for the same dates by changing my 2-room request to 2 adults 2 children from 3 adults 1 child, but it's about $35 more so I am quite curious what this other $146 5* hotel might be.
