  1. Made the 1st bid of $55 with the Springfield area. Really wanted that area due to the close proximity of relatives and where we have to be on Friday afternoon. Got denied and offer a re bid of $68. Was going to rebid on a zone without a 3 star but since we had to leave tomorrow, we decided to take the rebid of $68. We got: Residence Inn Springfield Old Keene Mill Springfield 6412 Backlick Road Springfield, Virginia 22150 Now we are very happy with this since that is definitely the hotel we wanted. After the family function we will have to run off to Pittsburgh to the other hotel we bid on earlier this month. Rate on the website is $239 and it also includes a continental breakfast. Awesome deal. We did use the PRICELINE link. Thanks Betterbidding!!!!!!
  2. 1st bid was $43 and Priceline came back with an offer of $55. Did not accept the offer. 2nd bid by adding a zone for $45 and rejected. 3rd bid by adding another zone for $47 and accepted. Got: Pittsburgh Airport Marriott Pittsburgh Airport (PIT) 777 Aten Road Coraopolis, Pennsylvania 15108 Never been to Pittsburgh before and hoping the Penquins can go to the Conference Finals to catch the atomosphere. I always use the Betterbidding PRICELINE link.
  3. On my 1st bid $55 (did not accept). added zone and bid $60 (did not accept). Had the wife looking over my shoulder and then tried $65 and we got it per night plus taxes for 2 nights starting March 23, 2010: Buffalo - Amherst 1340 Millersport Hwy Buffalo, New York 14221 Been to this hotel many times and looking forward to another stay there. I did use the PRICELINE link and have referred this site to others. Hopefully they use it.
  4. Thanks for posting this. We have been thinking of staying in Howell since it is very close to the outlet.
  5. On my 1st bid (I knew I should have went cheaper, LOL). $60 per night plus taxes for 2 nights starting March 14, 2010: Buffalo - Amherst 1340 Millersport Hwy Buffalo, New York 14221 We are very happy with this hotel since it is the nicest one in Buffalo and conveniently located near where we have to be on Tuesday. Thanks to the site as always and I did use the PRICELINE link.
  6. Amentities are Airport Shuttle, Non Smoking Rooms, Fitness Centre, Pool and High Speed Internet Access.
  7. Was bidding on PRICELINE and could not get a 3.5* for $70 so went to HOTWIRE. For $68 a night and a 3.5* we got for 2 nights starting on Feb 13th: Hotel Indigo BUFFALO - AMHERST 10 FLINT ROAD AMHERST, NY 14226 UNITED STATES I forgot the amentities that was posted. It is still lower than the rate online at $89 a night and in a perfect location for us. We did use the HOTWIRE link.
  8. Thanks for tips but we booked through Priceline instead: 1st shot at $35 for 2 nights: Courtyard Marriott - Auburn Hills-Pontiac Auburn Hills - Pontiac 3555 Centerpoint Parkway Pontiac, Michigan 48341 Was looking to book a hotel at Howell but had to take this one since the rest of the family are booked here too for Black Friday. It is our 3rd time staying here and all booked through the PRICELINE link.
  9. Thanks for the fast reply. This board is simply awesome. We book all of our hotels through the links. I am guessing it is Holiday Inn too. If I do book it, I will definitely post the results. Thanks.
  10. I used the HOTWIRE link for the dates of Nov 26-28 in Howell, MI. It shows me a 2.5 star at $52 with breakfast, fitness, pool and internet. Any ideas?
  11. Started the bidding at $34 and did incrementals of $2 (adding zones). Got: Adams Mark Hotel Buffalo Downtown Buffalo 120 Church Street Buffalo, New York 14202 716-845-5100 Did use the PRICELINE link.
  12. Tried the 1st time at $30 (3 stars), came back asking for $38. Tried the 2nd time at $32 (added zone and 3 stars), came back asking for $40. Tried the 3rd time at $33 (added zone and 3 stars), got it. Then requested an additional day for Canadian Thanksgiving at the same price and got it. Used the PRICELINE link. Stayed there before and the place was practically empty. Staff was very nice and told me to let the kids loose since no one was here. Thanks Betterbidding, could not have done it without the info.
  13. Bid $50, got rejected. Bid $55 added another zone, got rejected. Bid $60 added another zone (and last time), got accepted. Buffalo - Amherst 1340 Millersport Hwy Buffalo, New York 14221 This is the hotel we wanted and it is conveniently located near where I have to be on Wednesday morning for some business. Of course used the PRICELINE link and giving Kudos to the site. We would not be traveling as much if it was not for this site. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Sorry just realize I made a mistake. This was for 2 nights (Aug 22 - 24) at $33 per night plus taxes.
  15. You had me rolling on that comment. I will most likely chicken out since I can't honestly do it. 99% we will be eating at the Courtyard for breakfast.
  16. Thanks very much for the tip. For the life of me, I can't understand why some people get the free breakfast hotels and I don't. We have stayed at the 2 other Marriott's in the area and were thinking of sneaking over to Residence Inn for their free breakfast. :)
  17. 1st bid for $33 got Courtyard by Marriott Pontiac. Was really hoping to get Hyatt Place. Oh well, now I have to hunt for breakfast.
  18. I have sent you a PM on my experience. Best of luck.
  19. Bid $41 the first time and changed areas. Then bid $45 and got it. Millennium Airport Hotel Buffalo Buffalo Airport (BUF) 2040 Walden Avenue Buffalo, New York 14225 Reviews are bad but only staying 1 night to catch a flight. Offers free shuttle and parking which is what we need. I did use the PRICELINE link.
  20. Bid hoping to get Embassey Suites since they offer a free breakfast. Bid $31 (knew it was low) and they offer a rebid at $39. So I did and got Courtyard by Marriott. The hotel is fine (I stayed there before) so I can't complain. I did use the PRICELINE link.
  21. I saw a few people booking their rooms at the Hyatt Place (we love the Hyatt Place for their large rooms, LCD TV & continental breakfast) so I gave it a shot at $39. We got Four Points by Sheraton Studio City Hotel instead for 5 nights (May 14-19) at $39 ($46.02 taxes in). Oh well, I can't complain about the price but wished it was the Hyatt Place. Hopefully they don't charge for parking and now I have to search for breakfast every morning. Oh I did use the PRICELINE link for the hotel and car rental.
