Booked it through Price.line for $179 Per Night. You guys were right it was Hotel Monteleone Nov 8-11. Thanks!
OK, is this based off the 90% review?
Not sure if Pet Friendly has ever been listed for that property and the long list of amenities seemed like the Sheraton. I'll keep searching. I would be fine with the Monteleone but fear getting the absolute worst room in a very old property.
Dates are Nov 8-11 2014 Price $188

Looking at the hotel list and other wins I see it looks like the Sheraton. The pet thing does not appear to be listed before. Any insight and what is your % of confidence? Thanks
Booked it! Sheraton Grand $130 out the door. Awesome Deal as all websites had $190 for the property.

Pretty stressful booking. Was trying to get an outdoor pool and the match was either the Omni, Westin, or Biltmore (indoor pool). At time spa would appear. Other times bed choice and no spa. Happy with this. Here were the final amenities, but it was crazy how it would change from search to search and adding Friday, single night...

I was planning on going around Cape Cod but this price, for this hotel, was too good to pass up. Will use this as a home base while checking out the RI/MA coast and islands. Providence looks like a very nice city too. I used your HOTWIRE link. $276 Total for 3 nights.

Friday 7/1/11- Sunday 7/3/11 Was bidding for 2 days between $100 and $133. Just in the Quincy Market, Waterfront and Coopley Square areas. Did not want the Cambridge or Harbor areas. HOTWIRE had 4 stars for $156 in the same area.
Don't know much about the property, will post a review.
Good advice, that HOTWIRE 4* is already up to $192. I will try again to bid tomorrow once I reset and go up higher. If I do not get it I will look 3.5*. Is there a zone with 3.5 on either HOTWIRE or PRICELINE where I need to focus on or avoid so I can get the best quality hotel?
I have been to NY so many times but never stayed in anything nice. I will book something in the next few days for NY and then Boston (7/1-7/3) and post my results.
So the last few days I have been bidding for 4* Hotels in pretty much every zone on Manhattan for the dates (T-F) 6/28-7/1. Started at $120 and have raised up to $150
On Hotwire there is a 4* Midtown central for $188 and an Empire State 3.5* for $149 so I know I must be close on Priceline.
The last time I bid on Priceline they said I could have a special offer bid if I went from $150 up to $180 without adding a zone.
Knowing I want a 4* and knowing I want to pay around $150 or less, should I wait a few days to reset the field or do I keep going up?
Thanks.

Strange Update.
So after a few days of bidding on Priceline for the North Shore and Ihilani area up to $200 I did not get anything.
I was bummed as I saw on Hotwire a North Shore Resort (Turtle Bay) for $200 but it disappeared after a day and the North Shore resort hotel has not reappeared for a week now. On the other sites Turtle Bay went up from $220 a night to $260 so I was worried. The JW Ihilani went down to $199 but it was for MT view and all the reviews were saying there was construction and noise form the Disney Resort going in.
So after playing around on all the sites I wound up booking 2 days 2 nights with an Economy Car (Alamo) and an oceanfront room at Turtle Bay for $539 on Hotwire. Everything included but the $25 Resort Fee. I was able to book it knowing the hotel when adding a car to the options.
Breaking it down I figure the Hotel was around $200 a night and the car about $30 a day (taxes and car fees take it to $539). So I am happy unless I am missing something about upcoming charges. Anyone have info on renting a car with HOTWIRE and what extras I can expect in fees?
Thanks for the advice, not really into a timeshare presentation and after booking the Sheraton with HOTWIRE, I only have 2 nights.
Still debating on my game plan for those 2 nights. If I want Turtle Bay or the JW Marriot do you think I could safely go this route:
Bid $180 North Shore area Resort
Bid $190 and add Ihilani area Resort
Bid $200 and add (non resort area (I.E.Airport) in hopes to get the JW or Turtle Bay?
I will be bidding in the coming month and will use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links and report my success when I do!!!!
I am staying at the Sheraton 2/20-2/23 which is right next to the Halekulani. Could only get Monday -Wed on Hotwire at $136. I was unable to add days to the stay on either end of those dates so it appears weekends and Thur will be hard to book a resort on Hotwire or on Priceline for much of a discount. If you are willing to move around you could think about that M-W option. Otherwise I'd just try to book the whole trip with a resort in Waikiki through Priceline. You can see the list of possible hotels on this site and will at least get an ocean front hotel within walking distance to your friends place.
ANything under $200 bills and I would be happy.

Beachfront
Smoke Free Rooms
Fitness Center

Got 5 nights in Oahu and was only able to get 3 nights with Hotwire in Waikiki (see HOTWIRE post). With my remaining days I was wondering about the resorts on the other parts of the Island.
I see Turtle Bay is an option, has the lowest price accepted in a bid been $170? should I start there?
I also see the JW Marriott resort in the Ihilani area as an option. It does not appear anyone has gotten that hotel for some time if at all. Any idea for pricing on that resort? Can anyone recommend that resort?
Thanks in advance.
Tried to get the hotel for 5 nights but HOTWIRE would only give me the 3 Sun-Wed dates. Stayed here last year and were very happy and were able to upgrade to ocean front with view of Diamond Head for $75 a night including breakfast for two.

Thanks for the heads up and yes I used your HOTWIRE link. That no smoking, no casino is a bulls eye for that property.
Going to see Rush at the MGM Grand! Sweet!
Correction, I used HOTWIRE and the bid was around $120 for the Omni Shoreham. My friend who we were traveling with over the 4th of July used his card so I can't be certain what the exact total was.

All those areas are pretty central and around tourist areas. I'd do the 4.5 Star Embarcadero $252 if given those choices. You got a 15 minute walk to Union Square Chinatown, North Beach, and about 20 minutes along the waterfront to Fisherman's Warf.
