  1. Hilton Fort Wayne At The Grand Wayne Center July 24-25th Ft. Wayne actually gave me two zones: 1. Ft. Wayne 2. Ft Wayne Southwest I chose the first zone and won on my first bid of $65. Travelocity had that hotel at $119 and HOTWIRE's lowest price for a 3* was $89. Used the PRICELINE link. Thank you!
  2. Wanted to share an e-mail my father just got regarding his stay a couple weeks ago. He hadn't complained to Hotwire but they still gave him a refund in the form of HotDollars. Also wanted to point out this hotel was being downgraded to a 1*. Thanks! Dear Gerald, We are contacting you about your recent stay at Chicago O'Hare Garden Hotel, Hotwire itinerary 5463192***. We periodically review the star ratings of our hotel partners. After doing so for this hotel, we have decided to adjust the star rating to 1.0 stars. While we are confident in the quality of all our hotel partners, the new rating more accurately reflects the service level, accommodations and facilities of this property. As such, we would like to offer you the total amount paid for your hotel reservation in HotDollars for a future Hotwire reservation. HotDollars can be used for any hotel, flight, or Hotwire hot Rate rental car booking on Hotwire. Each HotDollar is equivalent to one U.S. dollar and is available for one year from the date of issuance. If you have any questions regarding the HotDollars added to your account, please email Hotwire at [email protected] or call 1-866-HOTWIRE (468-9473). If you reply to this email address, your email will not be received. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Our customers are very important to us, and we would like you to have the best possible experience. If you have already contacted Hotwire Customer Care regarding your reservation and the star rating adjustment, please disregard this message. Sincerely, Hotwire Customer Care

  5. Wanted to post on a hotwire purchase my father made the day of for a Chicago O'Hare 2* hotel. Chicago O'Hare Garden Hotel Check-in: Sun, Jun 21, 2009 Check-out: Mon, Jun 22, 2009 Rate: $30.00 Total price: $40.94 Amenities: Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, & Golf Nearby He did use your HOTWIRE Link! Below are his comments, he said the front desk was very nice, but that the property was poorly lit and was bit scary (and he doesn't scare easily). He wouldn't book this place again based on what little he saw of the hotel. I walked from the subway station at 10:00 PM. The walk took about 10 minutes. The hotel was easy to find since it was next door to Hooters. The parking lot was poorly lit. The front desk was very helpful and nice. I did not see a room. Because of a flood, the hotel was oversold - even though I bought the room only a couple hours before. The front desk "walked" me which meant they gave me an $80 room voucher for the Comfort Inn Suites. The hotel's shuttle service was excellent. They drove me to the Comfort Inn at 11:00PM. They also picked me up at the Comfort Inn at 4:00AM and took me to O'Hare because the Comfort Inn shuttle did not begin running until 5:00 AM Everyone I dealt with was very nice, but the property looked a bit scarey.
  6. We have a 7 am flight Friday, July 3rd, out of Midway. We live about 3 hours from Chicago, so we will be driving down the night before. What areas should we look at for Hotwire & Priceline? Is Oak Lawn - Midway Airport MDW the only one we should be considering for Hotwire and Midway Airport Area for Priceline? We are going to need parking for 3 nights at the airport so I wonder if it makes sense to do a park and ride package. We are looking to check-in late 7/2 and check out 7/3 with 1 room, 2 adults. I want something under $70 (unless it includes parking). I see a 3* in Oak Lawn - Midway Airport MDW w/ fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, & internet for $69. Not sure what this is a match for. Wondering if this is our best bet or if I should do Priceline or a different area. I am just pretty clueless about this particular trip, thanks in advance for any help.
  7. /bump Just wanted to point out that this win indicates that the 3* Ayres Suites is in ONT West zone, which isn
  8. My father sent me his Ho.twire purchase for Bowling Green, KY. Wanted to share this so that you can add another hotel to the Hotwire list for KY. 9. That was my guess also. I think I am going to hold off right now as our plans may still change. I will make a new thread once I purchase something. Thanks.
  10. Just wanted to point out that on the Priceline list you have this hotel as a 2.5* but this post indicates PRICELINE has bumped it to a 3*. Thanks!

  12. Was looking for a cheap hotel (2 rooms, 4 people) to stay at after flying in late Tuesday night to SNA and heading to Catalina Island the next morning. This will serve the purpose. The thing I am disgusted about after reading tripadvisor reviews is that they are going to charge $15/night for parking and from what I can tell there aren't really any other alternatives. Bidding went: Yesterday: 3.5* $40 Costa Mesa -> Rejected $42 Costa + Seal -> Rejected 3* $38 Costa + Seal -> Rejected $41 Costa, Seal, NP-Hunt ->Rejected Today: 3.5* $45 Costa -> Rejected $48 Costa + Seal ->Rejected 3* $45 Costa -> ACCEPTED Used your PRICELINE link as always!
  13. Someone else will have to roll the dice on the West one :) When I went to book the East it had gone up to $66, oh well... 15. Thanks for all the help. On your suggestion I booked the Amalfi Hotel. The total for the 2 nights was $246.93. That was with Orbitz's deal taking 25% off for staying 2 nights and then taking the 20% (before taxes & fees) from the coupon code 20HOTEL (which for anyone else reading this runs till 1/18). Used your Orbitz link and am going to pass this site on to all my PRICELINE/deal loving family. Thanks!
  16. New visitor to your site, although I have been a huge fan of Priceline hotel/car bidding for a while. My husband and I are planning a romantic Chicago weekend for 1/23-1/25 (2 nights). The only finalized plan is that we have tickets to Wicked at the Oriental Theater. I think we are going to take the train up from South Bend, IN so we plan on just using cabs/walking Chicago. I have always bid on Priceline and never have used Hotwire. I want a 4*+ hotel around (reasonable cab ride) the theater. From Hotwire: 4.5-star hotel in Magnificent Mile Area
