Wanted one weekend night in downtown San Diego Gaslamp area. Cheepest found on HOTWIRE was $134/night. Decided to give PRICELINE a try and accepted my $90 offer on the first try.

Wanted to get away for one night in the Palm Springs to enjoy the good weather. First Bid for Resort in Rancho Mirage - Indian Wells - Palm Springs for 2/16/08 $125 Rejected $135 Free Bid adding Indio Rejected $140 Free Bid added Palm Springs Rejected Changed Date to 2/17/08 $125 Accepted Hyatt Grand Champions Resort Indian Wells Hyatt Website cheapest price for the same night was $239. Have stayed at this location before and very satisfied with the results.

Sounds like the Westin Mission Hills resort which I have previously received on HOTWIRE. Normally it also indicates as being a "Customer Favorite"

Marriott San Diego Hotel & Marina March 18th $129/night Two Rooms $258 Subtotal $297.36 Total Charges Started off at $89 and after eight rebids ($5 ea) in the Downtown/Harbor Island area, was able to secure the Marriott San Diego Hotel & Marina. Marriott Website rate with AAA discount was $256 per room. A little higher than expected but based on availability and prices in other downtown hotels, I'm happy with the results.

Sorry, should have done a better job explaining why I thought it was the Westin Mission Hills Villas. I happened to look up the specific dates and the only one bedroom property for $119 indicated the following amenities: 1-bedroom, Free Parking , Air Conditioning, Children's Activity, Pool, 24 hr front desk, high speed internet, tennis nearby, boutique, fully equipped kitchen, daily housekeeping, in room laundry, fitness center, restaurants, laudry facilities, golf hearby, spa services, kitchenette. These amenities are consistent with what others have shown to be the Westin Mission Hills Villas.

Sounds to me like the Westin Mission Hills Villas. I have not stayed at the Villas but did stay at the Resort which is adjacent to the Villas. As far as location, it is not within walking distance to any shopping or nighlife activities but is an easy five minute drive away. The location is perfect for those that golf/tennis and the Westin seems to have alot of activities for the kids especially the pool. We enjoyed it for a weekend but actually prefer being within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Very nice place to stay. If the price is right, I would not hesitate to stay again. Refer to reviews for other opinions, photos and location.

First bid of $53 for 4* was rejected for Los Angeles (Downtown) but was given a counter offer with increase of $15. I rejected the counter and rebid by adding Santa Monica and increasing to $56 a night. Bid was accepted. Was looking for a one night stay in 4* hotel in Palm Springs Area. Was able to secure the Hyatt Grand Champions for $108 for 6/9/06. Reviews seem to be pretty favorable. Cheapest rate listed for this resort was $179. Amentities shown were: Resort, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Spa Services, High-speed Internet Access, Children's Activity Program and Golf Nearby.

Submitted a bid of $65 for 4* downtown. Was rejected but offered the room if I upped my bid by $18. Resumitted at $70 and adding Hollywood to the bid. Offer was accepted by Hilton Checkers. Very happy with the results.
