The regular rate on the hotel website was only $69.99. I could have done better with my AAA discount or by using a rest area coupon book. I complained to Hotwire that they misrepresented the value of the room. They refused to do anything about it, or even apologize for their error. This is the second time that Hotwire showed an inflated rate comparison on a room that I booked. I have had some great rates with Hotwire, and will continue to use them, but will no longer trust their rate comparisons. This is a new listing to the board for Johnson City. Total through the hotel website would have been $80.69, so we only saved $7.72. The beds were comfortable and there was a nice indoor pool area with slides, but overall the hotel was dated. I would rate it as a 2.5* rather than a 3*. There is a hotel restaurant, but no breakfast included in the room rate.

Booked the room using the HOTWIRE link on betterbidding.com Upon check-in, we were quite surprised when the hotel informed us that the charges to the HOTWIRE credit card number were denied! They were unable to contact Hotwire Customer Service to resolve the issue. They had a room for us, but we had to pay for it and request a refund from Hotwire for the original charges. The hotel gave us a good deal on the room...at a rate lower than the Hotwire rate. I sent an email to Hotwire requesting a refund. They responded quickly with an apology for the inconvenience, and a credit to my charge card. They also applied $25 in "hot Dollars" to my Hotwire account. No explanation was given as to why their credit card number was denied. I have used Hotwire many times before without any problems. I assume it was some kind of glitch, and will continue to use HOTWIRE in the future.

Description in the title for this post and on the Priceline hotel list should be changed to "Green Bay" instead of "Greenbay".

Upped it to $90 and it was accepted. TripAdvisor has it listed as a 3.5* hotel. Regular rate for this hotel on their website is $219/night. This is a Monday night, so they would like to find somewhere to have Chicago-style pizza and watch the Monday night football game. Any suggestions? I see where there have been successful bids of $60 and $64 in the past for this hotel, which is the only 3.5* hotel in Kingsport. I bid $60 for 6/9/10 - 6/11/10, but it was rejected. If your first bid is rejected, you can currently add Blountsville and rebid for a 3.5* as Blountsville currently does not have anything above a 2*. When I bid on Kingsport, it only shows Blountsville as an alternative. When I bid on Johnson City, it only shows Jonesborough as an alternative.

Conveniently located near St. Francis Hospital, with easy access to I-240. Breakfast is not included, but there is a hot breakfast buffet available for an additional charge of about $10 per person. Hotel and furnishings were somewhat dated, but clean. Beds were very comfortable - had a great night's sleep. I normally book using the PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links on bedderbidding.com but was not able to this time because I booked it at work, where my internet access is limited to selected websites.

We decided to book directly with a hotel so that we could guarantee an ocean view room. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a way to book an ocean view room through HOTWIRE or PRICELINE. Thank you.

It wasn't one of the hotels listed on the betterbidding.com/Priceline hotel list. It is an all-suite hotel. The rooms include a separate bedroom w/king-size bed, sofa sleeper in the living room, microwave, refrigerator, sink, coffeemaker, iron/ironing board, 2 televisions, large bathroom, free wireless internet, free parking, restaurant (no free breakfast), bar, business center, indoor pool and a fitness center. This was a great deal - probably the best deal that we have ever had on a hotel room, including the many that we have booked through Priceline and Hotwire! Thank you for this great website.
