  1. I only stayed here for 1 nite from about 9 PM to 7 AM the next morning. I basically needed a place to sleep on my way from Boston to Portalnd, ME. This was just what I needed. The room had a full kitche that was outfitted with utensils, pots & pans, a full size fridge, 2 burner stove, and microwave. The bed was average, but clean fresh sheets & quilt. Fine for 1 night or possibly 2 if you are on a budget. I did get a great rate of $30.00 a night thru PRICELINE. I was quite pleased with the overall experience.
  2. Am writing this from my room at the Chelsea. Checked in around 12 noon. Got a Luxe King Room with an ocean view in the tower portion of the hotel. Happier with the room than I could ever have imagined. Hotel is great with a great pool scene & cocktails by the pool. Nicely decorated in a retro rat pack kind of vibe. Beds ae REALLY comfortable. I will write a full review upon my return home.
  3. Won the Extended Stay America - Boston - Danvers 2* for 1 night - $30.00 Website best rate $75 Very Happy with the win!!! Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $30.00 Subtotal: $30.00 Taxes & Fees: $10.79 Total Charges*: $40.79
  4. Make sure that you take the time to visit the Reading Terminal Market http://www.readingterminalmarket.org/. They have every kind of food imaginable there. It is a great spot for lunch. Also most of the Stephen Starr or Jose Garces restaurants are some of the best dining in the city - Great upscale shopping on Walnut Street between 13th & 20th street right near your hotel Art Museum is a must see !!! Also the Eastern State Penitentiary does tours of this great old historic prison. Cocktails at the Ritz Carlton lobby bar is wonderful ! Have a cheese steak at Pat's or Geno's in South Philly at the Italian Market. (personally like Genos better) The Mutter Museum is a really interesting museum of anatomical & physcal abnormalities if you are up for that kind of stuff http://www.collphyphil.org/MUTTER.ASP The M
  5. Parking in center city Philadelphia is expensive. When I stayed at the Warwick it was $30 per day overnite. Most hotels are around that - $25-$30. The city garages may be cheaper - you can check at this link http://www.philapark.org/findparking/parking_location.aspx
  6. The Warwick is the only hotel listing Smoke Free as an amenity. Crowne Plaza & Club Qtrs do not. That was my guess
  7. This is most likely the Radisson Warwick on 17th Street & Walnut - I have stayed here & it is a lovely hotel. Older gran style hotel in the heart of center city - The historical area is about 10 blocks away but is easily walkable. The Philly Phlash shuttle bus circles the city all day for $2 a trip or $5 all day pass. The Warwick is right off Rittenhouse Square ( a lovely city park) - There are plenty of great restaurants & shopping within 1 - 2 blocks of the hotel. Have fun in Philly

  14. The lowest I can find on conventional sites would be 107/nite at the Radisson, which would actually work out fine as they have free parking. I would like to stay around $60-65.00 before taxes if at all possible. I even have tried 2 & 2.5* in downtown bidding up to 70.00 with no success...

  21. If you want to be right near the Pavilion bid in the following areas: Boston Waterfront - Convention Center - Pavilion is in the Convention Ctr area Boston Harbor Front - Aquarium - within walking distance Quincy Market - Faneuil Hall - Financial - within walking distnce
  22. Just take the T Blue line from the airport into Boston, Then at State St Station you will transfer to the orange line going inbound towards Forest Hills. Go one stop to Downtown Crossing stop and you are about a block from your hotel. That would cost you $2.00 one way from the airport. http://mbta.com/schedules_and_maps/subway/ I think a cab would run around $25.00 one way
  23. It is very simple to get from the airport to your hotel/ There is a Septa train that goes right out to the airport & stops at every airport terminal . I think it is a $7.00 one way charge into the city. You can get off at the Market East station & walk about a block to your hotel as it is right on Market St. Philly is a great town - I lived there for 4 years. You can walk to all major attractions & sites. For restaurants try any of Stephen Starr's restaurants... Here is a link to SEPTA - the local transit system & a schedule for the airport line http://www.septa.org/schedules/rail/air.html Starr restaurants: Been to Alma de Cuba, Buddakhan, Jones, & El Vez, & the Continental - All really good except Jones was just OK Vetri is very good & also Osteria up on North Broad gets great reviews. http://www.osteriaphilly.com/ http://www.vetriristorante.com/ I have also heard great things about Amada (spanish tapas)http://www.amadarestaurant.com/ & Chifa (Latin/Asian) http://www.chifarestaurant.com/ There are soooo many great restaurants in Philly it is hard to choose. Make sure you visit the Reading Terminal Market - It is a great place for lunch & great fresh local foods. http://www.readingterminalmarket.org/ If you have time go to the Art Museum - It is one of the best in the world & the architecture alone is worth the trip
  24. Just got back from one nite at the Hyatt Regency Penn's Landing. Got a great price of $69.00 thru Priceline. I did request a higher floor corner room & got just that. The room itself was really quite nice & very clean with every imaginable need . There was one VERY comfortable King bed, desk & chair, flat panel TV, & our room had 3 windows in the bedroom protion & 1 window in the bathroom. We were in room #1701 - so privacy was no issue. We left the drapes open all nite as we had the most spectacular views of the city lights & on the other side, the Ben Franklin bridge. Every person we dealt with there was very professional & very helpful. Parking was $21.00 a day for self park plus tax. For the great deal I got on Priceline, The Hyatt was a WONDERFUL bargain !! I would definitely go back to this hotal every time I visit Philly....
  25. Got this 4* hotel on first try - Phiadelphia/downtown area $69.00 with taxes & fees - total $86.80 Used PRICELINE link Thank you betterbidding.com
