  1. Another Hotel in Philly I haven't had. I'm ok with this. Can't wait to get back to P. ACCEPT for the lights on at 2am what's up with that P. As always I hope my postings are helping someone out there.
  2. This should be titled 3.5*. Oops. I'll blame the glass of wine on the typo. Thx moderators for correcting this.
  3. Now I've booked both the opening and the closing weekend at this hotel for Qfest and late nights at the Monk's Cafe.
  4. I had tried 59 - 119 for a 4* on the days I wanted. Then started back at $59 my second bid of $67 was counteroffered to $87 but I dollared it up with various compinations of zones to $79. It will be my first time in Pittsburgh. I'm looking forward to the Warhol Museum and the Carnegie Arts Museum. Now to start my search for a few interesting beer bars to end the evenings at.
  5. 4 visits to Philly in a year & 4 different hotels. Again this one is near Rittenhouse Square and Monk's Cafe. YEAH!
  6. Just when I thought I couldn't get a better deal. Wham!! I got one. Yeah!
  7. Another Crazy priceline rate at a new hotel. This will be the 2nd time I've stayed here.
  8. Yeah. The hotel I wanted and it's not to far from the Monk's cafe.
  9. Looks like you trumped my $98 deal. Congrats. We are staying the same nights. I stayed at the 3.5* Affinia Shelbourne around the corner in the fall. I loved my room. If this is the 4* Affinia all I can assume is that I will enjoy my stay. We have the same dates so who knows, maybe I'll see you in the lobby. cheers and enjoy NYC
  10. I've been staying in NYC hotels for 6 months now; since I moved a step away from the Y. And I can't believe some of the prices I've been able to get both in advance and last minute. This is the first time I got this hotel. So, at this rate, I figure in one year I will stay at 20 or so different hotels in the city. Anyways, I hope this helps someone else gets a nice winter deal. cheers.
  11. This is the lowest I've gotten a 4* in NYC.
  12. I saw this posted yesterday. Tried for my dates and no luck. Today. Bid $113, got counter offered for $143 and with rebids got it for $130. And it's listed for $349. On this day. Once again I'm happy with my hotel. Wow.
  13. So this is a new hotel. that just opened this past October. And the rate at the moment is $278. It appears that I got a nice rate on this new property.
  14. This might not be the place to say it. But, I'm loving booking my hotel weekends in NY on PRICELINE and getting different hotels. I think in one year I will have stayed in almost 20 different hotels. This will be my first time at this one. And again with my late night post theatre Hell's Kitchen pub crawl. This hotel is perfectly located for me.
  15. I'm hoping to arrive in town just before midnight. Throw my luggage in my room and dash out for the midnight countdown. Wish me luck. :)
  16. Another hotel for me to check out. Yeah. And right by Lincoln Centre. Convenient as I'm seeing two plays there on the visit. :)
  17. And it's listed at $269 for this night. I can't believe I got it at 45% of the price. WOW!
  18. I'm going from the Hilton Millenium one night to the Hilton Manhattan East the nxt. I guess I'll try to figure out the difference between a 4* and 3.5*. :)
  19. This will be the first time at this hotel for me and I thought February was going to be my first time. lol :)
  20. It seems to be so. My roomates pricelined this same hotel in late January too. We will all have to compare notes later.
  21. Was helping my roomatesbook a room thru PRICELINE last night and they ended up with this hotel. It was their first choice for neighbourhoods so they are very happy.
  22. Second time again for this hotel. It's listed as $191. So it looks like I got this at about 40% off. And I had this hotel last summer and loved it. Especially the really high room above times square. Hoping I get a nice high room again but I know I won't loose any sleep over it if I don't. :) And I got it this time for $12 less than my last visit. Hope this helps someone out there. :)
  23. I like the hotel. The room was big and the washroom/shower is generous too. It also has a pool which many hotels in NY do not. I heard the construction noise from the world trade center reconstruction as a constant hum. It didn't bother me at all. When I got back to room I just wanted to go to bed. I use the subway to get there. And many of the subway lines have a station on the streets nearby. I think most subways stop near Fultan which is a very short walk from the hotel 3min ish.
