On Tripadvisor, the manager has responded to every review, both positive (most of them) and negative (a few of them). I used the forum link to get to PRICELINE.

After having bids of $50, $55, $60, and $64 for Downtown North and South for 2 nights rejected, including those for 3*, I came back another day and tried the airport region, where rooms are cheaper, but for just 1 night. When rebidding, I threw in Downtown South for $58, and, much to my surprise, got a room there. (But the offer to extend the stay to the second night was not at the discount price, only at regular rates, so don't get your hopes up when you see that.) I was upgraded from 3 1/2* on the bid to 4*. Total price about US$73 after fees and taxes. Regular prices for this hotel are $300 and up, so this was quite a surprising result. I used the PRICELINE link from here to start the process.

Thanks for adding the hotel to the list. I suggest that it be referred to as "Best Western Eagle Rock Inn". All websites and the hotel signage feature the words "Best Western" rather prominently.

Twelve dollars is not much of a savings for all the risk of using Priceline, which is not what it used to be, I'll say that! Below 3 stars is a losing proposition. 3* Only bid at $52 was not accepted, 2 1/2* $55 for the Best Western was accepted. The hotel list for this region Ventura (Thousand Oaks) did not list ANY 2 1/2 ** properties, so it was a surprise that I got this hotel. There is a parking lot across the street at the World Trade Center. They have parking as low as $10/day for weekends and off hours. Check it out before you pull in at the Marriott.
